Foreword:
********

Attention! Fake LTE antenna products has landed into Malaysia market!
Fake how?
Fake (1): fake dbi marking.
E.g. a small size antenna with actual 5dbi only but labelled as 25dbi by unethical dealer/manufacturer to dupe buyers (cheat tricks)! shakehead.gif

Fake (2): no actual support LTE frequencies
E.g. an antenna which originally NO support LTE frequency 2600MHz but product label say got support!

Fake (3): is a mixing of fake dbi + fake frequency support, the most serious case!

In recent years, the integrity of wifi antenna market is being destroyed by fake dbi + poor quality cn made wifi antenna dumping to the market. Today you can even see so called got 48dbi but a toy size wifi antenna asking you only few ten ringgit... the wifi antenna market is breaking down. Now they are targeting 3G and 4G LTE antenna market...
Same tragedy is happening in power bank market, so many so-called 20000mAh / 30000mAh / 40000mAh power bank flying around...

LTE 2.6GHz (2600MHz) VS LTE 1.8GHz (1800MHz)
===================================

Last year MCMC (SKMM) issued stern warning against telcos running 3G service at low band 900MHz instead of high speed 3G band 2100MHz. MCMC clearly indicated high frequency band brings about high capacity, speed and quality, whereas low frequency band meant for low capacity and quality. Running 3G at low band already jeorpardised Malaysia overall 3G service quality although coverage area has been improved. Telcos need to rectify this wrong-doing.

In 4G era now, there is also dual operating band locally: the common 2600MHz by all telcos and supplementary 1800MHz used by 2 telcos only. To avoid repeating the same tragedy of poor service running at low frequency band, MCMC has mandated 4G telcos to add in 1 new 2600MHz LTE base station for every 2 units of 1800MHz station in use. The 2600MHz high frequency band will deliver true lightning LTE speed and quality to end users justifying what users paying to telcos for 4G. 1800MHz is intended for handset low volume usage.

However high frequency band 2600MHz having weakness of much smaller coverage area and weaker indoor signal level compared to low frequency band such as 1800MHz. Therefore using external high gain 2600MHz LTE directional antenna to enjoy the benefits of 2600MHz LTE!

Full details about that MCMC news availble in "4G LTE Update information:" in no.#1 thread. Downloadable pdf file.

Why pick Metteor-Link antenna?
======================

Premium grade antenna made by tier 1 antenna pro factory. Not made by 2nd or 3rd class small factory in china.
Most local dealers sourcing overseas antenna stock by online purchasing without really been to the exact factory to do site survey:
a) quality of factory: small factory or large factory?
b) do they really have wireless engineers? how many workers there?
c) do they really equipped with advanced antenna making and testing pro machinery?
d) what are their standard Quality Control process?
d) do they ever manage to get western countries orders which require stringent antenna quality?

=================================================================
Why mention Metteor-Link 4G LTE yagi antenna 43dbi at title?
Reason: To combat with fake dbi antenna!
Comparison (1): Metteor-Link LTE 2.6GHz 18dbi yagi VS Fake 16dbi to 35dbi wide band antenna
=================================================================

5 aspects analysis:

1st analysis: Relationship between antenna's size and dbi effect.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rule of thumb: antenna physical size always commensurate with actual dbi effect.
Means: smaller size antenna = lower dbi, larger size antenna = higher dbi.
Therefore, no such thing small size (toy style/mini size/palm size) antenna can provide 20dbi or 30dbi or more, that are shameless fake dbi marking! (please download and read common Q&A pdf for details about this)

Now comparing physical size of 18dbi LTE yagi with some fake high gain dbi 4G antenna in market.

Metteor-Link 4G LTE 2.6GHz yagi 18dbi
VS brand W so-called 35dbi antenna (model: W435) (seems big in advertising photo ya...)
VS brand W so-called 25dbi antenna (model: W425) (seems big in advertising photo ya...)
VS brand W so-called 22dbi antenna (model: W422) (seems big in advertising photo ya...)
VS brand W so-called 16dbi antenna (model: W416) (seems big in advertising photo ya...)

Now, see the clear size gap!

user posted image

Results:
At this preliminary stage, based on the size of external plastic casing, that so-called 35dbi panel antenna should be around 10dbi only. Those so-called 16dbi, 22dbi, 25dbi stick antenna are around 5dbi to 8dbi. The size tells.

To be right, this physical test actually should be judged on the size of internal antenna core components, which means should open up the plastic casing and seeing the size of internal antenna components because the real antenna core may even much smaller than plastic casing. The plastic casing do nothing but protecting internal core only. It is the internal actual antenna core that responsible for signal transmission/receiving thing. You may get shocked if u find out the internal actual antenna components are like these size/shape only...

user posted image

IN SHORT:
THAT SO-CALLED 35DBI PANEL = no more than 10DBI, METTEOR-LINK 4G YAGI = 18DBI, 8DBI HIGHER.
SO, IF YOU STILL BELIEVE IN THAT BRAND W ANTENNA GOT 35dbi, THEN JUST ADD 8DBI TO METTEOR-LINK YAGI TO 'MAKE IT' BECOME 43dbi ANTENNA! cool2.gif

2nd analysis: Relationship between wide frequencies band (MHz) and dbi.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A wide band antenna supports from low xxx MHz up to high xxxx MHz would provide different dbi level at different frequency stage. E.g. 5dbi at low 800MHz and 7dbi at upper 2100MHz. It can not keep provide a same dbi level throughout all low frequency to high frequency.
So it is IMPOSSIBLE AND RIDICULOUS that claim a wide band antenna got fixed/same XX dbi for all frequencies from 700MHz to 2600MHz (fake information).

user posted image

The above 2 comparisons indicates that fake dbi label and inacurrate dbi with frequency bands information are clearly dishonest antenna product/manufacturer.

3rd analysis: VSWR value.
--------------------------------

Apart from dbi analysis, VSWR value is important specification as well. Do u notice brand W antennas with VSWR value <2.5?
VSWR value: the lower the better. The ideal value is 1, but never possible in making antenna. Better antenna are always in range of <1.5, some other antenna may come with <2.0. This <2.5 is really considered under par.

user posted image

4th analysis: thick and thin cables.
-------------------------------------------

Brand W antennas use thin cable RG174 (cost cutting) which causes higher signal loss per meter, whereby yagi antenna comes in RG58 thicker cable with less signal loss.

Attached Image

5th analysis: the mounting accessories.
-----------------------------------------------

Brand W antenna bundled with a low quality rubber suction cap, whereby pro-antenna manufacturer would only use standard alloy/steel mounting kit. Using this kind cheap suction cap more likely an insult to their antenna industry.

Attached Image

=============================================
Comparison (2): Dedicated Antenna VS Generic Wide Band Antenna
=============================================

What are them?
Dedicated antenna are made specifically for a wireless frequency band to meet a wireless standard, say for ~2100MHz 3G, ~2400MHz WIFI, ~2600MHz LTE. They are capable of providing high gain dbi over 10dbi and more!(but antenna size will be much bigger). Also they are having better VSWR level.

Generic wide band antenna are not specific to meet any wireless standard, they support wide range from low frequency xxx MHz up to xxxx MHz, e.g. from 800-2500MHz, from 700MHz to 2700MHz. Because of covering these wide distances frequencies, they cannot offer high dbi, generally up to 10dbi limit only. And lack of strict control of VSWR level.

Attached Image

===============================================================
Comparison (3): Metteor-Link LTE 2.6GHz yagi VS 3G 2.1GHz yagi, WiFi 2.4GHz yagi antenna
===============================================================

Physically, different frequency yagi would have different elements design structure: the length and the gap.

So, you can see LTE 2.6GHz (2600MHz) yagi, WiFi 2.4GHz (2400MHz) yagi, 3G 2.1GHz (2100MHz) yagi are all different product because of different frequency wave pattern.

To achieve high gain effect like 18dbi, use correct frequency antenna for specific wireless standard respectively. Using wrong frequency antenna for different wireless standard will see minimal or even no gain results.

LTE modem works in 4g lte and backward compatible with 3g operation.

4g lte antenna helps to boost 4g signal.

if your area completely out of 4g coverage, juz got 3g now, then should pick 3g antenna first until the day 4g lte come to serve your area.

high gain 3g directional antenna: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=155&t=1731077

Does Metteor-Link have multi band 800 ~ 2600mhz antenna ?
I dont care hi gain as long it work and easy to use. No need so many antenna. One antenna rule them all.
TM will come with LTE 800 some say already testing.

hi, if your house (place of using) is completely blind of any 4G signal (not 4G coverage area now), 4G really only available 3km away, then using high gain 4G antenna would help only IF YOUR 4G MODEM/EQUIPMENT IS NOT END USER CATEGORY, means not these personal usb modem, MIFI as their built in wireless power is moderate only. Industrial type amplifier gadgets will help.

For using personal usb modem, MIFI, if seeing very weak 4G signal (e.g. -90dbm, -100dbm), at least got seeing the 4G network, or can see 4G network but cannot register to it, or sometime appear sometimes gone, connected but line unstable, etc, then can go for high gain LTE antenna as solution.

Interesting questions, worth take time sharing a bit:

1) LTE 800MHz band & external antenna
=========================
800MHz is a low frequency band, lower than GSM 900MHz. Low frequency band good at (1) it offer much wider coverage area than high frequency band with 1 base station, saving company tremendous infrastructure building money. (2) good indoor signal as low frequency band having greater building penetration power than high frequency band. The disadvantages of low band is lower capacity and quality.

OK, if TM LTE 800MHz to be roll out in rural/sub-urban area after they take out existing 800MHz service (becoz TM also juz bought P1, roll out TM-P1 LTE 2600MHz soon), and residents there now can get phone signal 900MHz at home, then they should be able getting 800MHz signal well. So the question raised is "If THERE A REAL NEED PUTTING ON EXTERNAL 800MHz low band antenna for their modem?"

Optional recommendation: why not wait until really try on LTE 800 with modem alone then only decide. Save money then for high frequency performance need.

2) User 'working' expectation with generic wide band antenna
=======================================
so far i have seen 2 categories wide band antenna (i am talking about serious products come from pro antenna factory, not that brand W and the like makers' stuffs).
800MHz - 2500MHz (low frequency at 3dbi or 7dbi, high frequency at 9dbi or 10dbi; got omni type and patch directional type)
700MHz - 2700MHz (low frequency at 3dbi or 5dbi, high frequency at 5dbi or 7dbi; omni type only)

only the 700MHz - 2700MHz range omni antenna now suit for LTE 800 & 2.6G band usage.

Now the question of 'working' ~ user satisfaction/expectation result:
modem usually already come with 2dbi built-in omni antenna, so switching on to external 3dbi or 5dbi omni antenna, there could be barely change, or little change. And external antenna got cable will degrade its dbi effect also, count this factor in for reality.

So it really up to user how to define 'working'? What expectation really wanted?

Portable size: low dbi : sacrifice performance
Tradisional size: high dbi: for performance sake

3) Got selling?
=========
Regret to tell Metteor-Link this factory does not have generic wide band antenna, they focused on high gain performance antenna.

I can get u these wide band antenna if really want (another factory, but not the brand W one):
700MHz - 2700MHz range ~

1) tick candle style
type: omni antenna
frequency: 689-960MHz - 5dbi
frequency: 1710-2700MHz - 7dbi
cable: 0.3m

2) mushroom style
type: omni antenna
frequency: 689-960MHz - 3dbi
frequency: 1710-2700MHz - 5dbi
cable: 0.3m

4) Own opinion:
===========
I do think that only if really no other choice then take TM LTE 800. Hopefully TM use all its 800 bandwidth, don't repeat that 3G 900MHz tragedy. If that TM LTE 800 far down perform than LTE 1800, it is better take 3G 2100MHz lagi best. Pay for what is worthy.

This is so far the fastest speed i have acheieve after using this Meteor 4G Yagi Antenna. shocking.gif

Download rate is between 1-2mb/s BEFORE using this antenna.
Download rate is between 3-5mb/s AFTER using this antenna.

Night time speedtest. Sometimes even goes up to 40mbps tongue.gif

All of these result achieve only using one antenna and totally lock to LTE network only. Totally can't brain the speed if i'm using 2 of them.

Some curious about 3G and 4G.

I'm using Huawei E392, living in the 3G environment and I don't thing the 4G LTE available in my area yet, the 4G signal is about 5-6Km to nearest LTE tower. My question is, is it possible to use your 4G LTE antenna in 3G environment.? I'll assume that will boost the 3G signal and by the time I'm ready for 4G as by the time the telco will upgrade the 4G system in future.

You comment sir..

maybe you should consider to buy a range extender router or access point router for a better reception signal since you are living in a 3 storey bangalow smile.gif just my opinion cool2.gif

the 9dbi wifi antenna bundled with asus router already omni type (precise term: omni-directional)

omni antenna coverage pattern is a donut shape, not a ball shape.

a low dbi omni antenna say 5dbi , its donut shape is horizontally shorten, vertically widen, like those dunkin donut. a high dbi omni antenna say 9dbi, its donuts shape becomes horizontally expanded, vertically flatten, quite become a like a pizza. so u should able to imagine that.

so put that scenario under multi-storey environment usage, the floor where the 9dbi antenna put on will get much wider horizontal coverage compared to 5dbi (same floor), but vertically (upper and lower floor) will be getting less coverage now.

so yup, as forumer recommneded to you, get a wifi repeater at weak spot or use powerline homeplug with wifi output.

Yes is now using wimax wireless technology, not LTE. the Zoom is a wimax cpe.

to pair with wimax usage, pick wimax antenna: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=155&t=2085683

just received 2 sets of yagi 4G LTE antenna from coolstore in good condition.

what can I say? this thing is AWESOME!!!

I use it for my sierra 320u modem, I stay in farm in Sabah, before I got the antenna, my best connection is 1mbps or less download speed (i am using maxis 3G) after using this it jump 200% to 3mbps !!, now surfing webs no longer lag!

4.5 stars product out of 5 stars, less 0.5 stars cuz not really easy get it to fix it in place.

All telco using what band now for their lte?800 or 1800 or 2600?or its still depend on area? And if you could teach us,on how to identify the band used on our area,i think this could boost your sale. since it only support 2600 band, not very useful if its using 1800.right?

all 4g telcos (maxis, celcom, digi, u-mobile, redtone, puncak semangat ALTEL, P1, YTL, Asiaspace) was given licensed 2600mhz to roll out LTE. 2600Mhz the meant LTE faster speed band. This year only seeing maxis and celcom in large scale deployment, others are catching up, progress slowly.

only maxis and celcom these 2 telcos were given an extra supplementary band 1800MHz. 1800MHz is a secondary band to help complement the 2600MHz coverage matter, not meant to be mainstream LTE band, and this band intended for low capacity usage by handset. Why only this 2 companies got? better ask the authority.

you can read this paper news about MCMC statement on LTE band matter: http://uploaded.net/file/lilzq8bv

only TM go authorised to run 800mhz LTE at rural area. this even lower speed than 1800MHz.

higher frequency = higher capacity = faster speed. 2600MHz is much faster than 1800MHz.
higher frequency problem = short coverage, poorer indoor signal penetration capability, therefore 2600MHz indoor signal much weaken than 1800MHz.

ppl paying money for LTE service is expecting to ride on faster band for faster speed, not hope to be compromised unless absolutely no other way.

Poor indoor signal means 2600MHz in need of external antenna to boost its signal, then only can enjoy the faster LTE band 2600MHz.

1800MHz already good indoor signal, thus there is no much need of external antenna for 1800MHz as one can get pretty good indoor signal of 1800MHz for running lower speed LTE. same as mobile phone call service run at 1800MHz, very rare ppl can't make call/receive call indoor today. if mobile phone call works well indoor, same to LTE 1800MHz. the need is not there.

hope this clarify your question.

Sorry, but that is not the answer im seeking for. My question is, i dont know what band my lte signal is using,1800 or 2600. Yes, i also know about the "signal penetration level", but to make sure, how do i know wether its 1800 or 2600? Is there any software to tell me which band is used? In my case,i can get lte signal even inside my house which is concrete wall. If its 1800, then using 2600 antenna is not going to make any difference. I hope u can answer me this before i invest in buying. Thanks.

mdma software + laptop + usb 4g lte modem + at outside your house.

in mdma software, u can select 2600 or 1800 or other frequency, one step to find out all.

* by rule, 2600mhz must co-exist with 1800mhz in 4G LTE deployment, means u should detect both no matter how weak/ unstable signal appearance. It is not like 3G era whereby the C telco only build 900MHz 3g station at some area by own decretion that makes totally no 2100mhz 3g access which drastically compromised 3g service quality, this matter has been condemned by MCMC. In new 4G era, the authority rules that every 2 1800mhz LTE station deployed must have 1 new 2600mhz LTE station build.

u are going to find out 'what bands' are there, not just check 'now connected to which band'.

by using this 'connected info', u can't find other band. phone will auto connect to better indoor signal band.

if using smart phone, u got to find an app like mdma in windows to let u explore what bands are there.

the best way to do site survey still mdma software + usb modem + pc.

btw, if only using phone to go online, not by usb modem/mifi/cpe, this external antenna is not direct applicable to phone, but to 4g repeater solution instead.

Yeah, u r right about cannot find other band except the connected band. I agree with that. Using hp is just for testing purpose. My modem is on a router. But since my modem is not supported by mdma ,even 1.0.11 beta, theres no other choice than using hp.

maybe can try those 3rd party firmware for certain compatible router whereby user got a alternative window gui program which can direct communicate with the modem in the router to set which band or which mode.

Dah pm.

4g repeater 2600MHz sangat mahal skrg, x carry ready stok. klu nak tempah, blh order utk anda.

dlm market lain biasanya repeater 2100MHz utk 3g saja, bukan utk 4g LTE 2600MHz. 3g repeater dah jadi murah.

sama saja mcm harga 3g vs 4g modem. barang 4g mahal.

erm... what i think repeater not necessarily mean booster.

booster normally is an additional gadget that plug into an existing wireless gadget to amplify the existing wireless power into a upper level. such as wifi booster that actually add more 10 to 15dbm to an existing wifi gadget with at least 15-20dbm tx power capability to make it total 30dbm or other level wireless output.

3g / 4g repeater is a standalone product. not plug into any other 3g/4g modem/mifi/cpe etc. the complete setup scenario is:
external 3g /4g antenna >> 3g/4g repeater >> indoor 3g/4g antenna (one or more units).

like the picture illustration below:

Attached Image

the repeater will help relays in outdoor signal into indoor building through external > internal antenna combinations to make indoor signal as good as at outdoor.

repeater solution often applied in shopping complex or commercial building. when u walk around in shopping complex try look at the floor ceiling for a mushroom type white color stuff, they are indoor omni antennas (a lot ) to disperse out phone call / 3g signals, therefore ppl can get quality call or connect 3g inside building with good signal. With good signal reception, also means the phone no need to works full load at highest radiation level to get signal, good for ppl health.

repeater solution can solve all wireless gadgets (phone/ tablet/ pc modem/ mifi / cpe) signal problems as smart phone or tablet can't plug in external antenna for them and it is not practical as well. the drawback is high cost of repeater machine itself. repeater product quality varied, it can range from low quality stuff with low price up to thousands ringgit also got. again, low price = not that good product quality or not durable (performance dropping...)

ok let me check again first.

as at beginning of this year i checked and surprised with the premium price tag, sure no one (retail side) will interested for this price level, so no bother.

hopefully next year price drops and seeing our other telcos like digi, umobile, p1 etc all got good LTE coverage, ppl may start to think it is worthy to invest in one for their smart phone / tablet and all other modem/mifi/cpe etc.

Hi, can I know how exactly this works? Does it need a power source (USB, wall, etc)? Can this work with any LTE MiFi, or mobile phones? Is there any settings that we need to configure?

By the way, whats your asking price? Thanks.

hi, no need external power source, it is direct plug into LTE usb modem / mifi / cpe that comes with ready external port/connector for external antenna.

it is not direct usage for phone, phone do not have external port for antenna. LTE phone or other LTE gadgets like LTE tablets would need repeater solution whereby it consists of 3 main parts: external LTE antenna >connect> repeater >connect> internal wide band omni antenna(s). Repeater solution is to bring in outdoor good signal into indoor. Of course if using repeater solution, all LTE products like usb modem,mifi,cpe,phone,tablets all can enjoy good lte signal at same time, but the down point of repeater solution is the cost matter of repeater machine itself, no cheap for good quality, cheap price no good quality no lasting long. shopping complex, commercial building are adopting repeater solution so that inside the full covered concrete building also can get good call/3g signal now.

the economic way for household to share 4g good signal among several gadgets are:
either:
a) external LTE antenna > LTE usb modem > 4g router with wifi output (so that gadgets indoor are using wifi from this 4g router, sharing a same LTE line)

b) external LTE antenna > mifi or cpe with wifi output. cpe are those destop machine all in one, built in LTE modem+router+wifi such as huawei b593.

please pm me your existing modem model so that i can sure it can apply this metteor-link LTE yagi antenna.

Thank you for the prompt feedback. I am staying in an apartment, lower level and the signal drops (ping timeout) intermittently and this is very annoying. I have a LTE compatible SIM card but I have yet to purchase a LTE device. I am using a 3G modem at the moment which is very slow. Ha ha.

I would like to seek your professional advice if I should get;

1. LTE router modem or
2. LTE MIFI modem

Based on your recommendation, could you also recommend a device that would be compatible with your product and what is its cost for both items.

based on capability, CPE is much better than MIFI or usb modem (if u refers LTE router modem as cpe such as huawei b593)

based on cost: buying usb modem+ router around same cost as MIFI, but some MIFI even lower price now. cpe most expensive.

as long as the gadget got external port for antenna then can apply external antenna. e.g. Huawei, ZTE, Sierra, Prolink. juz avoid alcatel, d-link and other without external port. Huawei is more expensive among them, but worth it.

i'm living on the 28th floor and using my iPhone 5S I can get 3 bars LTE connection at the balcony, 1-2 bars indoors that sometimes drop to 3G or E. Will this antenna solve my problem? I'm planning to use it with a DWR922 & Maxis LTE broadband.

dwr922 can use with this antenna. it stock antenna should be generic wide band, omni type with low dbi gain in order to support multiple LTE band of the machine.

after put on this high gain 18dbi 2600mhz yagi directional antenna, focus on high speed LTE band 2600mhz Maxis, done.

Will this improve the overall signal strength or just 4G only?
Reason why I ask is because so far I dont get any 4G signal for home use (only 3G)

2600Mhz antenna for improving any wireless technology using 2600Mhz. For here, it is 4G LTE 2600MHz.

3G, 2G , wimax all at other frequency band, not 2600mhz.

4g LTE fast band: 2600MHz
3g fast band: 2100MHz

product: 4g LTE yagi antenna 18dbi high gain @ 2600MHz
answer: high gain 18dbi for 2600MHz band

high gain effect antenna (above 10dbi) would need to focus on a particular frequency band then only can make the antenna come into high gain effect, e.g 18dbi for 2400MHz (wifi), 24dbi for 2400MHz (wifi).

this LTE yagi provides 18dbi effect @ 2600MHz, at neighbouring frequency band it do still support but sure not at 18dbi and also no details info about it.

universal, aka wide band antenna, support wider frequency band e.g from 800MHz to 2500MHz, are low gain dbi antenna, not over 10dbi. it is physics, limited by wireless technology.

there is no such wide band antenna with SMALL size can yield high gain like 35dbi, that simply a fake info antenna.

higher dbi=focus on particular frequency band
higher dbi=bigger antenna size.

A 24dbi antenna would get u the size of around a 40inch LED tv. so can imagine how big a 30dbi would be, let alone saying 35dbi.

this high gain antenna for 2600MHz, not suitable for tmgo 850mhz.

besides, that picture is not clear, doesn't seem like an antenna connector.

Hi bro.

My celcom coverage for LTE only got 2 bar (-97dbi). Band is 1800, after switched to 2600 it said no network coverage. Will it help?

I'm using vodafone k5005 btw.

EDIT - Just checked my modem's spec:
Network Bands

* 4G LTE 800/2600MHz

* 3G-4G DC-HSPA+/HSUPA/HSDPA/UMTS/WCDMA - (900)/2100MHz.

* 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE - 850/900/1800/1900MHz.

But how come no coverage when I select 2600 and got coverage on 1800 instead? I'm confused.

answer: 2600mhz not able penetrate indoor effectively as compared to 1800mhz

theory: higher frequency band carries larger data but smaller coverage area and weak building penetration capabilities; lower frequency band carries less data but larger coverage area and better building penetration capabilities

as your 1800mhz band signal reception already show low at -97dbm, it make sense the 2600mhz is even worst at -1xxdbm, therefore not detectable.

k5005 matter:
unknown. maybe it not in LTE mode when run at 1800mhz.
or different version of k5005? zte vodafone k5006 does support 1800mhz & 2600mhz lte.

I have a few question to ask. 1) How was it work? 2) What is the price for 1 unit? 3) My house area(within the building) has a very weak signal.. Im using an iphone 5 and am using Celcom. Sometimes there is 'No Service' most of the times its 'E' and very rarely it is '3G'. I want to ask where this product will help with my problem and will this product help to get me even a 4G tho Im not sure if my area has 4G in general. Will more antenna determine a more stronger and stable internet connection? Thank you

Hi want to ask, how to use this antenna with android phone without external RF port?

Aside from using booster, is there any way possible to DIY a passive patch antenna for the smart phone without soldering the antenna directly to the board?

hi, it is going pairing with repeater/signal booster if your main gadget is phone only.

don solder or mod the phone.

phone itself got a testing RF port sit on its motherboard, it not built/ intended for permanent external antenna connection. the main purpose of this port is doing dignosing/testing to detect if something wrong. so in fact there is already RF port there but no one would do driling a hole on plastic casing and also need a special type of cable to steady connecting the port and fix a big external antenna. Repeater package is always the solution for phone signal.

I want to use booster but, i only need to put an antenna just 30 cm outside of my windows, and using booster for this purpose is kinda overkill.

Anyways, Thank you for prompt reply
Very informative, you just save me from destroying my phone, just planned to solder external antenna on this phone, haha

2, it uses 2 antenna system, MIMO. it is using dual internal antenna now, no longer old day single antenna design.

Guys. I wanna ask only 1 questions. If we buy this antenna how do we determine where to point it?? I mean by trial and error?? Also, is there any way to determine the location of telco towers?? For example mine is umobile??

trial and error.

for better trial experience, can use phone app that can show nearby stations physical location distribution (although don know which station is which telco), but can save more time searching for ideal pointing direction.

for WIRELESS matter,

no one able to confirm you about 'how much', 'how changes' at real world BEFORE applying various wireless stuffs AT YOUR SITE, if one do tell u the result before any on site trial most probably juz dealer mouth of word for selling or amateur opinion or really a god can forsee anything.

wireless stuffs must be applied it in real world, at your place, then only u know. theory can be reference, but can not conclusive.

by theory, for sure external antenna ~ yagi type - higher dbi and directional type, perform far better compare to existing stock internal antenna - low dbi and omni type. so as long as for 2600mhz band usage, external yagi directonal antenna @ 18dbi works better in terms of either or combination of,
~ signal improvement
~ speed improvement (data flow increase due to higher signal reception & transmission)
~ stability improve (consistent connection, no drop out, or speed quite consistent)
~ lower latency (but this also affected by cable length of external antenna)

i'm afraid this time would be much further delayed as told by antenna manufacturer there is no order placed by that network vendor yet for this yagi antenna so there is no production. thus i can't get any stock since last december.

(to initiate a production line need at least thousand unit production, i cannot do that as there is relatively small demand at local market, only take some extra production stock every time the branded vendor place an order with antenna manufacturer.)

fastest to get would be the end of February 2017, after CNY.
