Lee Sook Yee profile

No wonder her name sounds familiar...she used to be with OSK-UOB!

And now RHB kicking away UOB...I think (former) OSK-UOB funds are really messed up. No wonder KidSave also messed up.

Gonna seriously consider dumping RHB-OSK GEYF now...now that I got CIMB Asia Pac Dynamite Income already, CIMB Global Titans look like a good choice, can do intra switching drool.gif

Ah now I understand that Lee Sook Yee is a highly trained economist which means she is a macro kind of person.

Compared her to Ang Kok Heng of Phillip Master Equity Fund who is more of a bottom up analyst. He told me he eat, breath, play, sleep, dream stocks....

At the moment Macro style >>> Bottom up style of investing.

Wait last month you got the signal and today it drops? smile.gif want to believe I can forecast the weather? today I tell you that it is going to rain. If sometime next month it rains, I can call it accurate? lol smile.gif

Hey wodenus,

I guess it is no difference with weather forecast, if the weatherman said this area X will experience thunderstorm at the particular time, then you should take precaution and not wash your bed-linen or curtain during that particular time.

My algo prompted me a signal and I acted on it, which is sell my Bolehland fund and true enough two weeks later Bolehland index dropped.

But people, my algo is not perfect... still work in progress. The algo is based on Modern Portfolio Theory which I learn during my CFP class.

Okay but seriously though, everyone and his cat has been saying the market is overextended for a month now at least. Anyway I use behavioral economics more than MPT.. I invest in people not markets. I believe that the best people can find value in the worst markets. The challenge for me is not to find the best markets, it's to find the best people.

Hard to say, it's a feeling you get when you talk to people, or read news, or look at a chart or whatever. The fund manager is just part of the whole picture. If you have more data, you have a better picture of how things are. Then you are better equipped to make a decision based on it.

That is all smile.gif
