blown up to 100% crop

due to the forum width cannot withstand the 2048 x 1152, I put it to 1024 x 576.. if you see the actual blown up 100% the details captured is amazing!

I was testing how just how much detail the L930 can hold and the test result is not bad...

QUOTE(hooi_jd @ Sep 5 2014, 11:57 AM) L930 photography is not a joke... it can beat down most of the compact cameras.. However, i hope MS can improve the focus speed of Nokia Camera apps. It's pretty slow to focus an object or always out of focus compare to the stock Camera app. I kind of agree that the Nokia Camera or the Nokia Camera Beta apps having some back-focus issue on L930. Strangely on L920 it doesn't have such issue. I tested both and L930 have some hard time to lock on the dragonfly as opposed to L920 which got it on first hit. But once L930 caught it, it just fantastic shot awaiting. |

QUOTE(mrl @ Sep 23 2014, 01:01 PM) Like I said, I was sitting there on my bed beside my phone waiting the alarm to sound, but no alarm at all... hmm... strange as never encounter this before... what if now you create a new time on the Alarm and still it doesn't trigger when the time comes?it just doesn't sound the alarm when it should be... What I did was:- 1. wake up earlier than my alarms 2. sit on the bed glaring at the phone waiting for the alarm 3. no alarm observed at all.... 4. checked all alarms, it is enabled and scheduled properly... i've been facing this for quite some time, but today is the day that I decide to wait for the alarm to make sure it's not my intervention while I'm sleeping... |

I've been using the L930 extensively as my primary phone and the back cover fits tightly to the phone without any movement (I posted some photos on Page 13 in this forum and it stays the same till now on fittings) and no sign of purple hue/tint on the screen so far..

QUOTE(adam ultimo @ Dec 18 2014, 08:04 PM) How about ur screen? I know the screen isn't flat with the metal frame. But i checked ur 930 pic on page 18, i saw ur top right side surfaced more than the left. I hope it's just my eyes or the pic angle. The screen doesn't goes flat into the metal frame and there is a very very small raise on each sideThis post has been edited by -ahtiang-: Dec 18 2014, 10:15 PM |

Lumia 930 Denim update is now available. However if you are on Preview for Developer, you need to disable it to get the Denim update and one updated with Denim, enable it back.

My L930 just got updated with the Denim update and when I take picture with the Lumia Camera app which is also updated, I can no longer Reframe (high resolution) them as freely as I used to.
However, I have the Lumia Camera Classic which if I use this app to take photo I can Reframe (high resolution) them. This app is at the expense of the new Rich Capture mode. With the new Denim updated feature works that Lumia Camera app is with Rich Capture but without Reframe (high resolution) option. Lumia Camera Classic app is with Reframe (high resolution) option but without Rich Capture mode. Any L930 can confirm my experience above? or did you find ways to Reframe your picture in high res.? |

Nokia Care Center Selangor
W-10-21, 10th Floor, Melawangi Business Suites, Amcorp Trade Center, 18, Jalan Persiaran Barat, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor 46050 Phone : (603) 79572211 Fax: (603) 79586878 Monday ~ Friday (9am to 6pm) QUOTE(glowinthedark @ May 9 2015, 06:38 PM) Guys, where is the Nokia/Microsoft service center around Klang Valley? I'm having this problem, anybody else face this before? : When I make a call, or receive a call, the phone screen goes completely blank. This only supposed to happen when you put the phone on your ear, not when facing the phone. The proximity sensor is the cause of this. When I put my finger on the area on the left top of the phone beside the call receiver speaker, the screen comes back alive. It's like a reverse proximity sensor. After going through some forums, I found out the cause is the glass panel on my phone, came off a bit and now is loose. when I press it back in and make the call, the screen is working fine. Don't know why the screen came out in such a short time, is it manufacturing defect? Should I go back to the shop that I bought or direct to Nokia/Microsoft service center? Help guys, thanks. |

So how's your L930 after the operation? Is it fixed now?
QUOTE(simonlws @ Jul 20 2015, 04:48 PM) My L930 masuk workshop liaw after just one week of usage. Kinda disappointed to find ot that Microsoft didn't even bother to resolve a old problem since launched in 2014. New phone still got this problem. The microphone issue. If you use any recording apps, no sound is recorded. If you put your phone in speaker mode, the other side cannot hear you. Contata also cannot hear you. But, click on the Bing seach button, you can dictate and Windows can recognises. I am puzzled with this, not sure it is software or hardware problem. Sad. Now waiting. Its been 6 days liaw. |

Been away for a while from this thread
If you own a Windows 10 Mobile device, you are good to go. Follow these steps in order to get your device ready. 1. Head to Settings > Update & Recovery and tap on “For Developers“ 2. You will find three options here. Choose the second one which lets you sideload apps from other sources. 3. Next, transfer/copy the appx file of the app to your Phone/SD Card storage. 4. Browse to the file via File Explorer, tap on the file and it will throw an install prompt. 5. If you really want to give it a try, tap Install else tap cancel. 6. If all goes well, you will find the app under the app list under 20 sec. this information is available via here .. try with your own risk ya QUOTE(JuneResources @ Sep 23 2016, 02:29 PM) |

As far as I understand nope this is not rooting the phone like Android though. The options to set "For Developers" are there available. However as usual do it at your own risk ya.
You can always restore back to original ROM via "Windows Device Recovery Tool" P/S: Support paid app lar hahaha since Windows 10 Mobile community already so small lol QUOTE(JuneResources @ Nov 15 2016, 10:08 AM) Thank you for your useful info. This one not consider root/jailbreak my device, right? Some of the appx which is the paid version, I want to find some of the file which can download absolutely free appx file (which can get appx file with paid version). I'm not sure can ask in here or somewhere else Some of the paid appx file is not cheap at all.. |

After having this phone as my primary phone for nearly 2 years, I have to say goodbye and all thanks to Microsoft who drop support for this phone. Not even sure what they are thinking... sigh***
