Had 3ROD experience just now, but I don't think it was my 360 at fault.

My room lights started to blink, then the whole house went blackout for a split second and the 3ROD appeared! It scared the shit out of me.

Hmm, not to be a b!tch or anything, but is the failure rate really that bad ? I was really (really) thinking of getting one, and soon too! or have the latest batch of 360's solved stuff ? I read here that there's gonna be a 65nm version out in March 2007 (iirc) ? Wait or ?
*
Bro.. better wait for the 65nm version. It use to be solve the heat problem, at least cooler than the previous version.

Why not u open the casing while playing next time. I mean only the left or the right side be open. Faceplate and back no need to open. So that more hot air can go out during playing more processing power game like GoW in order to avoid 3ROD from happen/again. Logic or not?

Nothing different if only open the left and right side panel. I open it for change the better thermal paste only, if can, me also thinking to add few fan inside, but look like the space inside is limitted. So everytime i play game, i will open the upper case, and put the dvd rom in outside.

Nakata, you have to unhook from below of motherboard. It's quite hard to open it for 1st time anyway.
*
Bro.. u mean i cant just directly pull out the heatsink , so i have to use some tools to unhook from the below of mobo?

if you really don't know how to do .. like me.. (you will bend the mobo.. thus.. said bye bye to xbox 360 laugh.gif )
