i don't mind fetch your console along...but do check everything properly then ask somebody in sg help you to call to M$ SG..

check few pages behind that i have posted bout the steps how to claim warranty.....

just check your 360's box (i mean the package box)

it will stated NTSC/J. please make sure your console already registered before making call to their MS SG.

and they will email you when the xbox is avail for collection.

i reported mine on last week wed (thanks to bro Merdeka) and this monday the MS SG gave Merdeka a call and informed the replacement unit is ready.

for me, i think this is the best way for us to claim warranty at the moment. and i don't think any retail shop in Malaysia can do this for you (at least not within 1 to 2 weeks time)

I'm going down to SG this coming friday, will keep you guys posted bout my experience, hopefully i can get a new set instead of refurbish set, will definately request them to test it out before i leave ( i have ma freaking rights!!!)

register your console is so darn easy, refer previous page that someone has posted how to register your xbox online via xbox.com.

all you need is a valid SG address and SG contact number.

i mean refer to the box, your box should have the word "NTSC/J" and my Hero Merdeka told me as long as your console is NTSC/J and virgin, your xbox is valid. not sure though but this is what Merdeka told me.

as far as i know, i don't think core set avail in KL unless u order it...

or you can ask xxxboxxx bout this, coz he once bricked his console and he bought a new core set, but he currently stay in Melaka...

travel down to Melaka n get a core set will still cost cheaper than swimming back to Jap, just my 2 cents though.

is ok to get another 1 as long as it is an Asian Unmodded set. get it from DjiNn as they provide 1 month (or 3 months?) 1 to 1 exchange...so no worries...

im back.. guess what, im back with a very sensitive console...my new replaced console very picky bout discs....if the disc has few scratches it will show disc unreadable..darn..now i have to take extra care with all my games....maybe another reason go for "backup playable ability" mod? ( just kidding )

anyway, im still preparing my write out on my journey, will post it on monday night or tuesday night...need to organize abit...so please be patient and stay tune!!

haha, and ya, thanks Jason for the offer for GOW...and lucky the disc is playable and showing no sign of DRE (taken from PS2 ).

Note: Jason offered me that my newly purchased GOW is refundable if my 360 still showing DRE,eventhough it is not the disc problem. Really worth purchase item from your shop!!!

yesterday night i was playing GOW MP, no sign of DRE

but when i tried campaign mode DRE again... darn!!

will try it tonight again for MP. if MP no problem then guess i will just live with it.

faster go and register your xbox now with a valid sg address then ask somebody in SG and help you to call to their MS SG -> try PM Bro Merdeka, he is the best candidate i can think of.

then go to their service hub n change your box, it just took me about 1week time, so don't waste our friggin right. We Malaysia can claim our xbox too as long as it is NTSC/J machine...

i will try to post up everything i know/experienced tonight and hope it helps...

journey to sg just cost you less than RM100.

just buy go and return ticket RM50 - RM60 from the morning (8am) then reach there around noon, go to woodland/kranji MRT station buy ticket to City Hall Station. (no interchange needed from woodland/kranji to city hall)

once reach City Hall Station, go to Exit B and once you go up from Exit B, Funan IT mall just located opposite of the road.

once enter Funan IT Mall, just go straight to Lvl6 and look for a shop called "Service Hub". then...refer to wcliang post.

once done, take LRT back to the woodland/kranji station and take your bus back to kl. If everything goes smooth, you can reach KL around 8pm to 9pm. and yes it is very trouble but at least it won't cost you another 1.4k to get another console which might 3rod again.

if you drive car, suggest you go to JB instead straigth to SG, i parked my car at Larkin Bus station and i took Bus number 170 from larkin straight to Kranji MRT Station (RM1.70) then from Kranji to City (1.90SGD+1SGD for the card deposit). from City hall back to Kranji (1.90SGD+1SGD) then take bus 170 (1.40SGD) back to Larkin.

from larkin to Kranji station take about 30mins but it depends what time you going. i would suggest u go to SG after 9AM coz in the morning everyone is rushing to work from JB to SG.

and Kranji to City hall take about 40mins.

passing the sg custom is easy, but im using link1 by walking pass the custom. put the bag in the scanner n pass the custom...they don't even care what is that inside the back..

but tell u wat, passing malaysia custom is even easier, they don't even check your passport, Malaysia BOLEH!!

first thing you need to do is, head over xboxlive.com and register your console. if im not mistaken, the warranty starts when the day you register your console via xboxlive.com

1st you need a valid sg address, regardless what address you put but it must be valid . (go google n search "sin min drive", i used that address )

2nd a valid and contactable SG contact number. (this will be the person whom help you to contact MS SG)

3rd get a person in SG and help you to call to MS SG.

after you reported your issue to MS SG, you just need to wait for the replacement. They will mail or call you when the replacement set is ready.

it went smooth for me for the above 3 steps. then the only thing left is just head to SG for a exchange.

as for expenses, it cost me about RM200++ for the whole trip, toll cost about RM100 overall. and petrol cost me about RM80 overall.

i drive from KL to JB larkin station n take bus (forgot the bus number) to SG Kranti MRT station, the bus fare cost me about RM1.40 and it will stop at kranti station. then purchase ticket and stop at City Hall Station( about RM6+ for two way ticket )

once you reach City Hall, look for Exit B and once you go up you will see Funan IT mall on your opposite left. and head straight to 6th floor theres a shop call "Service Hub" n throw your 3roded console n shout at them n walla~! u got a working refurbish console.

after that, from Kranti station take the same bus back to larkin station it cost 1.40SG dollar (RM3)


btw, i've put in some details how to register your console and the bus number in few pages back (10 to 15 pages).

just about RM200+- for the travel trip if drive down to JB, yes it was me. unless you mentioned another guy which i don't see that "some one" post it here and mentioned that figure b4.
