Don't worry man, my 1st few thousand photos were very bad as well haha 
You'll slowly learn about composition, lighting and post-processing along the way~
In fact, its good that you have already started using LR while you learn your photography, more efficient

But I do have some camera shots. Just for your reference, I'm still pretty noob at this:

Take your time to learn bro, eventually will become great like the sifus here 
Don't worry too much about advanced lighting first, that can come later~
As for composition, for a start, don't put your subject at the middle of a photo, put on the sides instead ~

Same here, felt like wasted a lot of photos when I look back now

Dell IPS monitor are pretty good, quite close to MBP retina or 27'' iMac screens.
They got pretty similar results too (sRGB, Adobe RGB range) when I calibrate them with spyder.

Regardless, it's best to calibrate all screens even if they're Mac LCD.
