Need help. I want to send both of my D5100 and 35mm to Nikon centre for service. What is the procedure? I am still under warranty.

QUOTE(nicknyhk @ May 13 2014, 09:25 PM) Not sure if this is the right place to do this but how do you guys take macro of insects. Do they usually keep still long enough for you to set up? I'm a minimalist guy. Only use my D5100 and Tamron 90mm without VC lens. Just shoot in a good natural light, adjust ISO to make sure I got fast shutter speed. So I won't have blurry shot. That said however, there were blurry shots taken just for these four photos, just a lot of trial and error.Nice pic. Want to take pictures of aircraft but usually stuck behind a glass. Was this behind a glass too or did you manage to find some place to take a photo with nothing blocking? Once I get a flashgun, I won't have to worry much on shutter speed then. |

QUOTE(skawithme @ May 23 2014, 06:13 PM) Hi guys! I need opinions from nikon users here. I've been reading about nikon dslr in the web and learn the basic knowledge of using it (PSAM mode, composing, lenses, tip n tricks etc) and now i think im ready to do the practical part which is buying the camera and start shooting! Lol. I like to take pics of people, cats, potraits, street and maybe landscape/macro in future. I've never use dslr before, totally beginner. I got few questions that i need your honest opinions: Any of those shouldn't go wrong, altough I personally prefer D3200/D5100 because of the LCD screen, since D3100 really has low DPI. This the only shot taken with D3100 that I got.1. I've tight budget of rm1.5k (can add few hundreds if necessary) so i've narrow down to new D3200 and D5100 plus kitlens or secondhand D3100 plus extra lense and accesories. Which camera should i get as beginner? New D3200,D5100 or just use 1.5k to buy secondhand D3100+kitlens plus 2nd hand 35mm lens and few accesories if got balance, then shoot and learn kaw kaw until good enough to upgrade to new dslr body, which one should u guys suggest? Can 3100 produce IQ as good as d3200/5100? 2. If i'm consider to buy secondhand D3100, i MIGHT have balance money from 1.5k. Should i buy 2nd hand 35mm DX nikkor lens? Since i like to shoot potrait and people, i heard this lens can produce sharp image with good bokeh, am i right? Or do u guys have other lens or accesories that u guys want to suggest to finish 1.5k? Maybe 50mm or 85mm? 3. If u guys have rm1.5k plus minus, as a beginner, which choice would u buy? Sorry for my england, dont know to english, lol! I've learned to retouch a few photos in lightroom and now cannot tahan to produce my own picture and process it,heheh! Thank you in advance, hope sifus2 and nikon users here can help me to decide and support my new hobby! Yeay Vygotsky D3100 Test by NurAzam, on FlickrAfter Lightroom stuff, I can say, it's almost the same with my D5100 anyway. hehe Did a DIY diffuser for my built-in flash today, pening wooo! Not a good craftman. But here's the picture sample with it. Made from a Maggi cup. I think still overexposed. QUOTE(ruitian97 @ May 24 2014, 02:42 PM) Hi, is Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM worth it? Used it before although the first version, I don't think it's too much of a difference , worth for convenience, don't expect super sharp image though. Also f/8 has the sharpest quality, at 200mm is not that good, but still usable enough. I did a review on this if you want to read. hereGonna get a superzoom lenses for travelling purpose! QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jul 26 2014, 12:00 PM) Nice one there mate Thanks. You couldn't get the antennae sharp because of shallow DoF, not flash availability Shoot directly from the side then the antennae will be sharp I mean if I have flash, I can use smaller aperture for better dof without risking of shakes. |
