Been a long time. Did little photos these days. I recently got my first speedlight too, Nikon SB700. Want to learn about portrait now.

QUOTE(ChaosSixth @ Aug 8 2014, 11:09 PM) How u get that nice and clear shot of him? I think that's because you're shooting indoor, so the shutter is too slow resulting blurry image because there was not sufficient light. I would make sure the shutter at least 1/250 for a cat shot since they're so active. So, I would prefer to shoot outdoor along with my cat. When I try to get near to my cat , she will start moving haha. |

I'm curious how much difference in terms of image quality between AF-D and AF-S.
If I have a D7000, I would buy the AF-D if the difference is not that much because of the cheaper price. Those lenses are hard to find, the most common lens you can find in the market, is the prime 50mm. 28-70mm still expensive too. Anyway, daisies!!! Now I'm out of photo stock. QUOTE(QiAnG @ Aug 15 2014, 08:50 PM) Nice shot bro, though the color or feeling seems a bit mute Thanks! I think I should fix a bit on WB on that.Somehow I like to take sunset instead of sunrise, could be either i hate waking up early or maybe ... sunset is easier to grasp, cause can see the whole day's weather, haha long time didnt touch my cam liao, other than some events n weddings n portraits == boring stuffs, been using phone lately for landscape I live in Terengganu, hard to get a clear shot of sunset, so sunrise it is. I woke up and stand ready at 6.50am with my tripod there, but no sunrise. lol! |

QUOTE(QiAnG @ Aug 17 2014, 12:34 PM) Drove quite a while to this not so famous cliff yesterday in hope for a sunset. Turns out to be quite a disappointment. Nice place you went there. Here, it's hard to find a good landscape spot. If there are good view, always they are spoiled with thrash. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « BTW, will lenses be damaged if left inside car under the sun for too long. Was leaving my camera bag in my car and didn't took any pictures for quite some time. Somehow I feel that the distortion is suddenly pretty bad at 12mm.. not sure if its always like this or not. maybe ive gotten used to my phone's camera I see slow shutter there. Argghhh.... until now can't afford ND filter and a good UWA. That's why I stopped putting much effort on landscape nowadays. |

Gonna have my first pre-wedding job. Any tips? Should I shoot RAW or JPEG or both? I will bring two D5100, 18-55 kit lens for wide angle purpose and 35mm 1.8 will be my primary prime. SB700 speedlight and Nissin 622 mark 2 as external flashes.
Client asked for shoot and burn. |

QUOTE(BaRT @ Sep 10 2014, 04:47 PM) I'm planning to buy tamron 90mm macro lens. Sorry late reply, been busy lately. Can use 90mm for portrait nicely. The bokeh is awesomerrr than 35mm prime too. Recommended especially for street light and foliage bokeh! Just wanna ask those have experience use it before, can it use as portrait lens too? Or it just purposely for macro only? Here's one pic of my friend. https://www.flickr.com/photos/azamali27/14851975492/ I have lot more, but didn't upload on Flickr for their own privacy. Edit: That bokeh might not satisfy you, but that's because my bad choice of background. Here's another example of the bokeh I looike. https://www.flickr.com/photos/azamali27/13309929024/ This post has been edited by copperwire93: Sep 14 2014, 07:57 PM |
