Basic question:

Does increase of exposure compensation in post processing introduce more noise? Am I correct to say that it introduces more noise because it amplifies the light data hence more noise?

So does decrease of exposure compensation in post processing introduce noise? If no, is it always better to shoot overexposed images and then lower the exposure compensation to my liking in post processing because it does not bring any noise to the photo?  notworthy.gif

It does introduce noise, and you most likely lose out information in the shadows. But then again for digital, you lose more details in highlights than shadows.

I just upload full size to Flickr biggrin.gif, don't worry about sharpening and all since Flickr will do it for all their re-sizes anyways.

As far as I know, only lens have world wide warranty. DSLR body is by the purchase country.

Also I heard if you were to repair a grey set, even after the warranty there's different charges for grey vs. Msia set.

hw much was it when u bought? how's it? i heard there anti-glare made the colours diffuse and less sharp? and is there HDMI cable?

btw, d800 user, time to get UHD screen. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/product...k=baynoteSearch
*
Well I guess, its acceptable for me at least. You can't have both of the world with anti glare and sharpness la IMO. No it doesn't have HDMI cable, has display port I think, but hey I'm still using DVI hahaha!

step up abit U2414H, better version of u2414m, borderless frame(good for multiple monitor) brows.gif
rm800 ish

Might be a "downgrade" that unit is 1920x1080 vs. 1920x1200 of U2412M, slightly more vertical space tongue.gif

There's a lot of "battle scars" on my equipments especially on the magnesium alloy parts showing the metal sad.gif. Now the question is, is there any way to repaint on it? So far marker pen doesn't work xD. I was thinking about those paint used for metal grade Gundam perhaps? Or anyone has good method here?

Oh btw the magnesium is awesome! The scar on my D700 has been since 2010 and no rust yet biggrin.gif.

I had a D90 as my first camera also haha~ But for those looking for a new DSLR nowadays, the newer entry-level DSLRs are better in many ways huhu.. its time to move on

Too bad I sold my D90, otherwise can convert to Infra-red  sweat.gif
*
Any contacts for IR conversion? I still have my D90 for conversion, last time I checked was RM600+ omg -.-
