I'm working for a project which require liquid nitrogen.
Anyone knows how much it cost & where to get it in msia?
i google around & the price is around USD$2/litre

any help is much appreciated.
maybe i can belanja u some home made liquid nitrogen ice cream

Fyi,i've looked arround but i couldn't find any in our country or i'll say it's very hard to get 'em over here.

Friend...liquid nitrogen is a very very dangerous thing, if you were qualified to know how to handle it, you would know where to get it...

i'm not certified to use it but dont worry.. i wont freeze my hands

i dont know MOX contact la..they are large supplier..do u think they'll supply small quantity to me?
currently i'm studying in UM but my labs dont have LN2. other faculty dont know. but i think UM labs are quite strict bout the chemicals la.
maybe if u got inside contact can..

LN is extremely dangerous my fren...wat project that u require LN anyway...
a friend of mine, admitted to hospital just because LN accidentally spilled on his hand...his hand had to be cut due to instant freeze.

*** even thou LN is liquid, u can even spill on ur electronic parts - no worry short curcuited or watsoever - due to extremely low temp @-ve400°C i think...

dun worry ... its not for circuitry and overclocking...

Liquid Nitrogen boiling point is at -145 to -150 deg C.
Liquid Oxygen boiling point is at -183 to -185 deg C.

And that depends on pressure around it.

Dry Ice only forms when Liquid CO2 is expanded below 4 bar.

How I know? I work in EOX (Eastern Oxygen). HEHE

Kinda last time My School Do some "fog" on stage performance using Dry ICE , last year junior science project about Volcano also use DRY ICE , and i never ask them where to get (forget) and i want some for my Laser Experiment ....

Ah ... One More thing to ask ... If run DRY ICE in a closed room , can it be Poinsonous ? or Suffer any Breath comfortability ?

If anybody in KL/PJ is interested in getting some dry ice, there's a company called MRE Enterprise which is located somewhere behind the Aquatic Centre in Shah Alam that supplies them. It is being sold in 11kg blocks for RM3.80 per kg. Their number is 03-55110350.

You'll definitely experice some shortness of breath if you have several kg of DI in a room with no ventilation

Anybody can buy DI from that place. You just need to place an order a day in advance and pick them up yourself the next day. You also need to bring your own container.

ei dry ice can last how long at normal condition? i read from CHIP magazine they use dry ice to do oc. they put the dry ice into a custom made copper cylinder then pour some alchohol inside. very interesting..

Yup, those cooler boxes are fine. In fact I used them as well to store and transport the DI

When exposed to the surrouding air, a 1kg block of DI will completely evaporate in less than an hour. Store it in an ice box and it'll last a few hours. The larger the amount you have, the longer it'll last.

DI is cool.Put some in your mouth and watch the fog comes out while you talk.
Like Lich King in warcraft.

I think phase change is a little cheaper in price...

But it's a lot easier to handle and lesser hassle in fixing it...

Offcourse LN2 is better in performance, but, it's very dangerous, too much hassle...

we overclock our pc, increase voltage. so we need something to cold down our proc temp.

cheaper & more low risk compared to those nitrogen i would say
do remember LN very dangerous & should be handdle with extra care

becoz if u put it at freezer, there will be more unwanted water vapour that can ruin your whole pc. and if put at freezer, the proc cant be directly cooled becoz the temperature only can transfer at air as the medium. with LN we can contact with the proc directly.

U want Dry Ice?/Then wait for ais cream motor outside ur house...buy from them...My fren got 1 for rm0.50 for satu big big ketul....Then they threw the ice into longkang and observe it lol...

Actually u can do so...The freezer concept is like this..once it reach a certain temperature,it will stop the machine to continue freeze it..so juz tweak a little bit so the motor can keep on pump energy to the freezer and juz make sure it is air-tight....Beware of ur energy consumption too....motor can blow out easily...

haih...that is the thermostat to sense the temp. still cant be considered as "clock" lolx
the compressor will not blow but will cut off automaticaly also when it is too hot. so cant blow.

design ur own one...put 4 compressor n direct them to a small box laaa...so wat u call tat?Put in a e6300 in the chipboard for fun(no function at all)..then u can consider as oc liao....OFF TOPIC LIAO>>>
