Thanx kb those are the nicest fish i've ever breed till date but the line is still far from stable.

Actually if you used a 2ft tank to rear a single betta then i believe the sands should not post a problem. I believe the sands should be a very good place for beneficial bacteria to bloom. Weekly 10-25% water changes should be ample to provide good water parameter.

Good. Next time if you have any stock, can you let me know? I am more to Halfmoon. Usually, I just go to the LFS near the Wolley food court but their stock is not very consistent.

Thanks.

I got stock rite now but it's hmpk...my hm spawn is only 3 weeks old currently so it'll take at least 2 more months to see results. Yea i went there once but he sold out his stock so can't relli tell how good are they. Inconsistent in quality or their stock don't arrive consistently?

freshyyf: fin rot is very subjective...it can be due to wrong water parameters or it could of be that the fish is from a weak lineage....personally i've never encountered fin rot for hm i've gotten from good lineage...they only blow their tail off as a result of extensive flaring....my wrong on that part for leaving the hm uncarded tongue.gif or they bite their own tail and again this is very subjective...some said it's genetic some said it's due to stress.

I've received a call from the guy and according to him this batch the colour is a bit pale compared to previous reds. 180 degree finnage....hhmmmm he just told me there's a piece with extremely huge finnage but not exactly 180 yet probably 170-175 but for that kinda price i ain't complaining smile.gif

It's normal for HM to turn SD as they grow old and that's the reason why HM from good line are not cheap. I've a HM that could still flare 180 and he's somewhere along 7-8 mths old but i doubt he'll be able to hold it much longer as i noticed his caudal is getting too heavy for him...gonna ask some sifu to help me chop it when i wanna spawn him.

He's an OHM a mth back but now he's just HM

Once u've breed hm for quite some time you'll appreciate it a lot if thier finnage won't grow too large simple because they can last longer. The larger the finnage is the heavier it gets and the earlier it'll turn to SD.
