My betta was priced at RM5, I think. Previous CT I had was at RM8 - better finnage and more hardy compared to Le Bleu (didn't have to use ketapang for Basil).

Folks,
Me needs help. AIYO...it's non-stop issues with Le Bleu la. Today, while luring him to flare with the sun behind me, I saw some stringy, nearly translucent bits hanging from his rays (mostly the one on the top and bottom - but none on the tail). I just changed his water yesterday and increased the ketapang dose because it looked like the ray thinning thing wasn't improving. Is it normal to see some stringy transculent "threads" hanging from the rays? (I saw about three sticking from one end of a ray to another end, and another two just flying around loosely on the rays.) [Btw, can't take a pic because it's too fine for the camera to catch. Sorrwee.] This post has been edited by meiteoh: Jul 29 2006, 03:51 PM |

[UPDATE] I changed his water - 6 drops of blackwater extract, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of that fungus guard that together with Aquasafe.
The stringy stuff is gone but he still swims around with clamped fins. Why ar? Water parameters have always been the same as before - soft water, slightly acidic. Temperature, sama lor - I use tap water temp. |

You can ask those living in Cheras to send some to you.
Good news: I think Le Bleu's clamped fins are gone BUT no bubblenest. |

DAMNIT.
Got a small hole in the bottom fin. The edge when held up against the light looks like freaking tissue paper. I'm so stressed out leh. Am using teh O kau like ketapang extract for Le Bleu but right now, am so tempted to get an easier-to-manage breed like delta or something. ~_~ But...but I'm so attached to Le Bleu. T.T So bad luck man. This post has been edited by meiteoh: Aug 8 2006, 07:51 PM |

Me bro gave me a red PK since he knew I was having so many problems with Le Bleu. But his PK has a small pin hole on the top fin (otherwise everything else looks good).
So I put about four drops of Ocean Free's General Aid Special (for four litres of water) and about ten to fifteen drops of blackwater extract. Hopefully he'll be easier to jaga compared to Le Bleu. Haven't given him a name though. Dunno what to name him oso. |

Well, my new PK will only eat if no one is around. I dropped in a pellet and if I'm watching, our friend will just swim up to it and ignore. When I go away and check on the tank later, the pellet is gone. Eesh.
You can train them to take pellets and it's through the starvation method. |

Stupid fish now won't eat anything I drop in be it bloodworms or tubifex or pellets or Daphnia.
I tell you, my turtle and him must have been friends in their past lives. =.= |

So far, he's just choosy...and he eats when no one is looking.
O'well, I guess PK has Tortue as a friend. Yup, I got lazy and gave him his name already - PK. |

Jit: It's okay. Urm...he's eating but not much and he'll only touch bloodworms. No Tubifex and Dapnia...pellets, maybe. (At I think so, coz I dropped in one and when I went back to check, it was gone.) He's still a bit shy about eating in front of me. >.<

*lol*
PK is doing okay so far. I got him the smallest bottle of Melafix (which ain't so small) and the jakun will only take bloodworms. Never mind la. As long as he's eating, I ain't complaining. |
