Hi Ron,

I'm driving a Waja and i'm thinking of taking either of the following route:

Route 1
1. High performance waja 4g18 Coils
2. 2x stromberg,
3. 2x HPPC 1.0mm Cable.

Or,

Route 2
1. Relocate current ignition coil
2. Replace with Satria Hi-performance coil
3. 4x Stromberg
4. 4x HPPC 1.0mm Cable.

Please advise on which is a better route to take, reason why I would like to take route 2 is because of the location of stromberg when installed in waja engine. Seems like it only improves cylinder 1 and 3 because we are only modifying the cable and adding stromberg to it, therefore only cylinder 1 and 3 get better spark while the ignition at cylinder 2 and 4 gets normal spark power.

Pls advise and PM me on the price if I were to go either route.

Thanks!

Jeff

Ksyrium11,
If you know how to alter the wiring of the coil, then u can convert to high performance coil for campro since both are using Siemens ECU. If you dunno how to do this then i fully encourage you to go for Route 1.

Actually your 2 spark plug now receiving the poorer spark from your coil bkoz it using the high resistant and low quality of plug cable while the other 2 getting direct current.

Installing the Route 1 - High performance waja 4g18 Coils will improve this situation.

1. Quadcore HPPC (existing) = 150
2. Quadcore HPPC (converted) = 200
3. Stromberg PB (existing) = 150
4. Stromberg PB (coverted) = 199
5. HP coil for existing = NA
6. HP coil for Campro = 150

Regards,
Ron

Ok just a few more questions, lets say if I stick to route 1 and replace the following:

2 coils
2 HPPC
2 Stromberg,

Since cylinder 1 and 3 are getting sparks from the upgraded wires and cylinder 2 and 4 are getting sparks directly from the upgraded HP Coils, would the spark be unevenly distributed? because right now the spark plug is only recieving the capicitive spark going to cylinder 1 and 3 with the upgraded wires while 2 and 4 is not undergoing any capacitor piror discharge, just coil-coilboot-plug.

For Item no. 6, is the price of 150 for one or two coils? Do you have a picture of it?
May I also know why are the price different for converted coils? wouldn't the quantity be the same? Pls enlighten.

So thats route 1.

Now for route 2,

I am familiar with the wiring so long as the coil accept the default 'ground', 'signal' and 'positive'. Do you supply the harness extension for the relocation of coils?

What would be the breakdown for the 3 different products be for route 2?

1. 4x Quadcore HPPC
2. 4x Stromberg PB
3. 2x HP Coil(Competible with current harness preferbly)

oh BTW I'm driving mitsubishi lancer it runs on 4g18 engine, im not sure if the ECU is simens or not. I'm in for high performance and long term reliability as I decide to keep the car for a long time.

Ksyrium11,
Lancer 4G18 is using MMC system while Waja 4G18 is using Siemens system. That means we not yet make any HP coil for MMC system yet.  sweat.gif

For your kind knowleage:
1. the spark plug that ignition directly from COP system is more stronger that the other 2 that going through with existing 4mm high resistant plug cable. so if replace with our super low resistant Quacore HPPC surely improve this kinda situation.
2. If your system is using MMC, then i encourage you to stick on MMC coil or else may make some trouble on the ignition. unless u wanna take a risk to try it.
3. we not yet produce or make any COP coil like your existing 1 or for any kind of engine.
4. we do not supply harness or bracket.

Ron

Hi Ron,

it should be fine because I've replaced mine with waja ones before, both waja and lancer carry the same part number if im not mistaken.
if waja can use I shld be able to use.

I'll take route 2, please provide quote for the 3 products.

HPPC
Stromberg PB
2 coils.

could u provide a picture of the HP coil for waja so I can decide whether it is suitable for me?

Thanks

Jeff

Ksyrium11,
Converted = using 4 plug cables with Campro HP coil. This need to alter the wiring. but your car not waja but lancer. means ur ecu is mmc. this Campro HP coil is made for siemens ECU.  sweat.gif

Existing = The coil you had now = COP coil  smile.gif

Can I have a picture of the coil?
I have a friend who replaced his blown coil with waja and it works for him,
if he can use waja coil, it should be the compatible right?

I am very keen on the conversion, a picture paints a thousand words, please let me have a look at a picture of it to see what can be done.

Regards,
Jeff
