It's getting normal, I saw many kiosk selling these "OEM" for high price too. Even fake otterbox, griffin, lunatik etc.

Thanks to the consumer's rights in Malaysia. If this happens in the US, I'm sure they're dead by now.

Some of my friends using fake SGP cases and otterbox.... they quite happy actually. Some of the glass screen prfotector also can buy for about rm30 to 60.

They save money for other things but they also need to take extra care not to drop the phone too much as fake ones may damage easier.

Its also feeding the piracy market since the intellectual property or copyright to the design a bit hard to enforce in china market.

yes.. if us or europe, those sellers will be dead.. according to our consumer tribunal or anti piracy, they will only take actions if someone complains.. sad..

china and india no copyright or trademark law. not even patency. Malaysia got.. but never enforced... LoL... thats y china is like photocopy machine.. while malaysia is more like a fishing pond.. easily catch "水魚“ . extra care not to drop the phone = is like saying those who dropped their phone is careless... many take extra care too, but accident happens... for glass sp, if you are looking for protection only, then buying cheap one still ok.. but if you want the oleophobic coating and better experience, then the china one still cannot make it.. tried few brands but none can convince us to switch over on selling it.. now we dont even bother to try those china brand anymore since all are same. unless they can prove that theirs is different, then probably still can consider to try.

what to do sis.. buyer dont wanna ask and seller dont bother to explain.. plus, some "seller" abuse the word "OEM", or probably they too stupid to understand the term. Cant blame them for their stupidity right? but if they said they fully understand the term, then can report to consumer tribunal already, report those sellers on commercial fraud. hahaha..

For those who wanted to report on Sellers selling fake items but claimed to be ori, can do an online report here

http://e-aduan.kpdnkk.gov.my/eaduan/aduanbaru.php?lang=1

this should give those sellers a lesson - Learn to be an honest seller, instead of misleading customers for personal gains.

the catch:

for some, must in original condition.. that means if theres a security seal and u open it, its not eligible anymore. and restocking fee too.. not forgetting the cost of postage back to them.. sometimes, i rather keep the item if its not too exp. or sell it to someone else..

OH! ok hahah cause you mentioned 2 layers "on" the screen therefore reading it literally, the screen is not being included as one of the layers.

strange though, despite the fact that the iPhone also uses Gorilla Glass but it seems that the one on the iPhone is more fragile. I've seen my friend who dropped his iPhone 5 on tarmac (waist level), the entire screen got shattered. I also so unfortunately dropped my Lumia 800 on the same surface and same level but only found some very minor scratches on the screen and only the edge of the right screen got chipped a little =(

sometimes, it leads me to believe that the iPhone doesn't house a Gorilla Glass =(

Glass will always be glass. Let it be gorilla king kong dragontail chickenleg wadever. Even industrial tempered glass has pressure points.

The reason for the argument where Iphone is fragile should be based on the construction of the phone but not the glass. Iphone is designed to be elegant not rugged. Aluminum is rated as one of the softest metal around. Looks good but never sturdy. Aluminium band around the Iphone transfers almost all the impact to the screen. Whereas u c lumias with bigger bezels and Samsung with removable cheapo plastics, they might fall off into pieces that's because plastic absorbs the impact therefore protecting the screen.
