Just updated last night. No Cortana for me (didn't / don't want to enable).
Battery life is normal in fact. Good job MS.

There was an update released yesterday or two days ago. It fixed the Games hub.

SD card couldnt be detected earlier. Soft reset. Took sd card out and plugging it again did not work. Inserted another sd card phone detected it again. Took it out. Put back original SD card, detected. Phew.

Oh no, not the memory card. Faster go try with another sd card on your lumia 1520. If it still can't read it, send the phone in for warranty. You can try inserting your sd card in another phone (to see if it works) but still it doesn't guarantee that your lumia 1520 sd card slot is OK.

Got. More often in 8.0. Just lock and unlock again and it'll be fixed.
None so far in 8.1

All Lumia 1520 sold here will have wireless charging as standard.
AFAIK, only the 16GB AT&T variant has the wireless charging feature removed.

Had a scare yesterday. My white 1520 (Dev Preview 8.1) suddenly hung with a high pitched noise. Had to power off/reset. Maybe was whatsapp / maybe was 8.1 Who knows.
