U better take a look at the floor spot where the Nokia hit it.

WP is not like Android whereby you can refresh your whatsapp contact once you added new number into your contact list.

It will automatically refresh the list over certain time. Just add the desired contact number.. then let it sync at background.. perhaps 5-10mins. Then, re-open your whatsapp and you will see the contact.

anyone experiencing poor battery life on Cyan? now my 1520 could only last around 16hours a day comparing 20hours a day.

main usage is whatsapp and wechat.

location and data is always on.

is there any tweaking i could do to improve it?

soft reset means? reset the phone to factory default under Settings?

will all data and apps being removed?

First try this to soft reset your Nokia 1520 Lumia. Turn off your Nokia 1520 Press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons until it vibrates, after that you have to release all the keys then phone will vibrate 3 times. All data will be lost!

the method is volume down and power button:
Press on the Power Button with one finger and at the same time press down on the Volume down button with another finger and hold down for 10 seconds

so, all the data and apps remain right? just wanna confirm this...

mine is facing reception issue after the Cyan update.

it can goes from LTE to E in a flash, then no coverage.

after like 10-15secs, back to G, then LTE... damn.

it really depends on your usage... my previous battery life was average 22hours.. now its around 15hours due to heavy messaging apps usage.
