QUOTE(kabyss87 @ Jul 31 2014, 11:05 AM) Got my Lumia just in time for the official update the phantom touch register~ However i encountered a minor but rather annoying issue with the phone.. When scrolling on the screen it tends to mistakenly register my scrolling movement as tapping.. inevitably open up apps as i scroll around... Not sure due to the clear type sp that i put on or anything else.. anyone had face the same hiccup? most of us have this issue. |

QUOTE(omega_leed @ Aug 9 2014, 04:14 AM) guys im new here. Jus got the phone recently. Using maxis. Bt the phone does not want to recieve data on H or LTE, it jus sticks to Edge n GPRS. ya, under SIM setting there... you have the options on switching to LTE.Anyone face simmilar situation? QUOTE(jkwanness @ Aug 9 2014, 10:10 AM) Hey guys.. I'm thinking of changing to this phone from Sony Xperia Z..... Choosing this over 930 because i want battery life and try bigger screen.... what problems do you see with Cyan?I read there's a lot of problems after 8.1 cyan update is that true? how bad are they or should i just stick with wp8.0 instead and wait for a good update in the future? I should be buying new from nokia store or Lazada, do you think i won't face problems if i updated right away? Need your opinion guys as i really love this phone (from reviews last year) but discouraged after reading the updates problems I believe all the "problems" here mainly referring to glitches in DP versions, not Cyan. im running on Cyan now... so far so good... no complaint |

QUOTE(slychoo @ Aug 9 2014, 05:16 PM) My phone just overheated for no reason. The phone was on idle when I found out how hot the phone was and when I unlocked the phone, it shows "Loading...". I am sure that I killed ALL apps before i left my phone. So I had no choice but to press the power button until it reset and realised that the battery drained from 99% to 56%. Battery saver app doesnt show the app that caused the drainage. Hmm.. I never experience that before. You are true that Cyan is really a lot more stable and smooth but I kinda wonder why it still overheats. Please check on the Photo Hub the random background images still showing or not? mine just pure black background 2. same goes to People Hub, no more random images background which available at WP8.0 Need this info as it might be only me which if later confirmed it's not Hard Reseting after the update that causing the failures... QUOTE(sklchan @ Aug 11 2014, 01:21 AM) I'm using this http://www.lazada.com.my/my-power-bank-qi-...ver-446495.html Very good wireless charger and confirmed it will 100% full charge your Lumia 1520 plus it have 6000mAH battery within that can use for offline charging... QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Aug 11 2014, 05:31 PM) once charging reach 100% it will stop charging, but leaving your device overnight on the plate , battery level eventually will drop too right?? so? will it recharge the battery if level drop 1% .. 2% ?? or the charging plate will only start charging on certain level?? or charging start once device reach battery save mode?? i rather have it non full charged in the morning than overCharged over the night.QUOTE(sklchan @ Aug 11 2014, 06:02 PM) the nilkin charger WON'T resume charge if your L1520 battery level start to drop, that's why I'm not using it now... im really not sure if our 1520 would stop charging after full charge, as this was how my earlier HTC OneX battery died after around 6months of usage.Regarding those so call overcharge issue, I don't believe it as L1520 stopped charged once it's full and I don't want a charger that shut itself down after full charge but rather in standby and resume charge once the phone require it... Hate to see 92% batt level in the morning after a long night in standby although phone on the charger pad... |

QUOTE(SteadyPana @ Aug 11 2014, 06:18 PM) thats a good news.QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Aug 11 2014, 06:19 PM) that's why im curious on how the wireless and wire charging works. charging stop at 100% device battery will drop overnight for sure, meaning it will require user to move the device from charging plate then replace back on charging plate only then it resume charging. because i always leave my data on, lower my incoming notification to update news, receive email .. etc. next day i just pick up phone and read mails and news straight away. walao.. this morning wake up and my phone battery left 80% only... average hourly drop is around 2% in that case im not going to wake up in the middle of my dream just to move & placing my device so it could resume charging?? @Roxy, how low your battery level drain overnight if Non charging?? what happen if battery level drain till 70% next morning.. not enough power later it was fully charged by 1230AM last night. QUOTE(sklchan @ Aug 11 2014, 06:21 PM) In this era where for such ancient failure as over charged still kind of worry~ All those charging algorithm will stop the charge once it's full... |

QUOTE(diarna @ Aug 12 2014, 09:42 AM) I'm using Nokia Fatboy Wireless Charger. As far as I remembered looking at Insider's battery charging timeline, overnight when battery dropped 1%, it will recharged again. I'll try to do it again tonight to screencap coz I've been charging at different times nowadays. QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Aug 12 2014, 11:20 AM) I've been using the Nokia Wireless charging stand since I got my L1520 in Dec 2013 & can honestly say I don't see any battery degrading issues with leaving my phone on the wireless charger from the time I sleep to time I wake up. So your worries of overcharging the battery are misplaced. Yes phones older than 2 years all have this overcharging will kill battery issue. Heck I think even current low & medium end phones still might suffer from it. But probably not the high end phones which from feedback seems to have the proper circuitry to stop charging when battery is full. QUOTE(sklchan @ Aug 12 2014, 01:34 PM) those wireless charger will stop charging as the Lumia 1520 will feedback it's fulled... notice this with my charger and the charging indicator stop blinking once it's fulled... thanks guys for the detailed explanation. The different for the JRK-1688 charger and the Nilkin Magic charger is that the JRK-1688 will still power on although phone fully charged (in standby mode and plugged to the power supply) so it will start charging again once the L1520 stated it's no more full charge (example drop to 99%)... Nilkin charger pula will stop charging (and for me more terrible as it stopped pre-mature where my L1520 only reach ~93%) then it will turn off so when your phone battery drop it WON'T start again until you've remove the phone and replace it back to the charging pad... So overcharged is not an issue here, only some ppls complain about the JRK-1688 make a soft beep everytime it starting the charging again and again during the sleeping hours which for me it's very soft and not an issue for me (FYI, those will beep about 1~2 hours once depend on your phone idling current drain)... Currently I give the Nilkin charger for my wife Note 2 usage (and observed the Nilkin able to full charge the Note 2 without problem, weird is it and it seem the phone do have different wireless charging character) and myself I'm using the JRK-1688... i will monitor my Nilkin charger further. |
