once charging reach 100% it will stop charging, but leaving your device overnight on the plate , battery level eventually will drop too right?? so? will it recharge the battery if level drop 1% .. 2% ?? or the charging plate will only start charging on certain level?? or charging start once device reach battery save mode?? hmm.gif

the nilkin charger WON'T resume charge if your L1520 battery level start to drop, that's why I'm not using it now...

Regarding those so call overcharge issue, I don't believe it as L1520 stopped charged once it's full and I don't want a charger that shut itself down after full charge but rather in standby and resume charge once the phone require it...

Hate to see 92% batt level in the morning after a long night in standby although phone on the charger pad... doh.gif

im really not sure if our 1520 would stop charging after full charge, as this was how my earlier HTC OneX battery died after around 6months of usage.

that's why im curious on how the wireless and wire charging works. charging stop at 100% device battery will drop overnight for sure, meaning it will require user to move the device from charging plate then replace back on charging plate only then it resume charging. because i always leave my data on, lower my incoming notification to update news, receive email .. etc. next day i just pick up phone and read mails and news straight away.

in that case im not going to wake up in the middle of my dream just to move & placing my device so it could resume charging?? shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

@Roxy, how low your battery level drain overnight if Non charging?? what happen if battery level drain till 70% next morning.. not enough power later whistling.gif

My phone currently drain about 1.2% per hour with all data on so if using that nilkin charger most of the time wake up only with about 94% juiced as it fully charged around 3am midnight and drain for another 5 hours before I wake up this cost me lost 5 hours of standby time during day time usage... doh.gif

1.2%/hour is consider a lot since the phone is idle.. i wonder how many % will drop when u using it... As for some user, nillkin charger might good enough if their battery drain less than 1%/hour.. anyway, it is all about personal preferences..

Having 20 background task that's the problem tongue.gif

If normal usage I've observed it drain ~12%/hour so it doesn't really make Lumia 1520 any good battery saver device compare with other phone... sweat.gif

I'm using Nokia Fatboy Wireless Charger. As far as I remembered looking at Insider's battery charging timeline, overnight when battery dropped 1%, it will recharged again. I'll try to do it again tonight to screencap coz I've been charging at different times nowadays. smile.gif

I've been using the Nokia Wireless charging stand since I got my L1520 in Dec 2013 & can honestly say I don't see any battery degrading issues with leaving my phone on the wireless charger from the time I sleep to time I wake up. So your worries of overcharging the battery are misplaced. Yes phones older than 2 years all have this overcharging will kill battery issue. Heck I think even current low & medium end phones still might suffer from it. But probably not the high end phones which from feedback seems to have the proper circuitry to stop charging when battery is full.

those wireless charger will stop charging as the Lumia 1520 will feedback it's fulled... notice this with my charger and the charging indicator stop blinking once it's fulled...

The different for the JRK-1688 charger and the Nilkin Magic charger is that the JRK-1688 will still power on although phone fully charged (in standby mode and plugged to the power supply) so it will start charging again once the L1520 stated it's no more full charge (example drop to 99%)... Nilkin charger pula will stop charging (and for me more terrible as it stopped pre-mature where my L1520 only reach ~93%) then it will turn off so when your phone battery drop it WON'T start again until you've remove the phone and replace it back to the charging pad...

So overcharged is not an issue here, only some ppls complain about the JRK-1688 make a soft beep everytime it starting the charging again and again during the sleeping hours which for me it's very soft and not an issue for me (FYI, those will beep about 1~2 hours once depend on your phone idling current drain)... nod.gif

Currently I give the Nilkin charger for my wife Note 2 usage (and observed the Nilkin able to full charge the Note 2 without problem, weird is it and it seem the phone do have different wireless charging character) and myself I'm using the JRK-1688... thumbup.gif

i do read other forums mention about their charging plate (Nokia Brand) stay lit after full charge, perhaps its the charging plate was not build to senses or read any device battery drain and resume it charging just like normal USB charging plug we use.
