managed to find my akkhan pants with decent stats finally..

only akkhan gear i need to fix now is my gloves for cdr and my set is complete. I also need to change my witching hour belt to have 1 defensive stat included, which would be either vit, ares or life%


at that point i can then farm for perfect gear with the secondary stats such as......

health globes, max wrath, reduce rng/melee dmg ....




i did some testing for end game crusader gear for shotgun build ..... i've noticed somethings regarding how to achieve 400k hp, 400+ chd, 600+ all res.....

i'll post about that later when i'm free

yeah i was going to use my example to illustrate what stats you need for hf shotgun build.

becauz a few people ask me look at their gear for recommendation, but everyone has a different current requirement to get the most of what they have now.

so to make people think for themselves how to achieve that, i need to set the goal they should aim for, so they got a base of what it is they need.



but having a glimpse of yours i see condemn. personally i don't think you should change those in case later condemn is fixed back to it's former glory. so find a different akkhan to modify to have the heavens fury modifier ;x


that shield is useless unless you have block with it. it only aborb on block... so if block chance low then forget about it your better off iron skin.


glove need cdr....


you need str in fotf....


belt change to either a harrington, witchin hour, or even a strop belt. heck, a string of ears would also be better.

you need chd in ammy

you need better rorg ;x add in cdr into it.... so either chc cdr or chd cdr your choice.


that leoric is pointless. use a unity or soj is better... make sure has cdr in it... with either chd or chc....




your shoulder and chest is good for condemn. so don't enchant it further, leave it as is, and find a different one for the hf build

boot and pant is fine for the set bonus. but later find replacement so got ares in it as well like mine.



aim for the following stats if you want to do t6 content with crusader....


400 hp ......

20k+ armor

600+ all res (iron skin and indestructible required)

400+ chd (without a witchin hour, you'd probably be around 300 ish if both your rings have no chd because your cdr)

50+ chc

40+ cdr (CDR in glove, shield, shoulder, both rings. Or optionally in amulet, weapon.)

A fell of the fate 2hander preferably 2.5k or better

5 piece akkhan set with rorg. Or 6 piece without rorg.


the dmg you'd be dealing would be like 30-60 m per beam consistently.


If you're soloing, i recommend using a Unity ring to replace either rorg or soj. Your follower also would have unity, thunderfury, wyald ring, dovu trap amy .......



NOTE: i'm para 600+ so i can get max paragorn stats for chd, chc and cdr ...... so my situation may not apply to most people who need to work more on gear to reach the stats i can get easily....... this is why people should farm paragorn so less gear requirements to hit the stats you need .....

i found a game with hellskull in loot table, so i was rifting and gambling kadala.

but funnily only blessed shield, shield bash, condemn drop only X_X:

probably good for condemn max dps, but i feel that Akarat's awakening is probably superior seeing as condemn skill cooldown reduction mechanism was changed

yeah very impressive. also whats scary is, his not even using optimized gear. I can imagine if he stacked falling sword on his gear..... shoulder, chest, shield.... 15+15+15 = 30% falling sword incr dmg = G_G:

do bounties. collect keys.

then rift forward. you get free exp.

you can solo this without help from others


*assuming you already have a lv 70 of another class, to farm those keys

harrington is not bad, and in fact could be argued to be better in terms of a higher dps potential. it even works when looting corpses as well (some people still hadn't realized this yet).

My problem with it though, i don't like being overly reliant on clicking stuff all the time. I find most times during fight, i don't have much opportunity to click anything. In this sense i much prefer the reliable WH, as it's a constant 50% chd without worry if there is anything to click nearby. But that is just my own opinion and play style

Anyway while on the subject of awesome 1 handers, although i think that the 1hander buffs is a welcome in the right direction to promote 1handers, i still feel they need to allow for more opportunity to using weapons other than flails for a bis build, such as thunderfury and shard of hatred. The reason why people don't use them is because of Gryfalcon and darklight mostly. I hope this changes :/ cause i end up just giving str TF and SOH to my barb because of this issue....

str, vit, attack speed, and chc.


For a shotgun build, it's possible you can try roll out as for life% or attack speed, though i wouldn't dare do that unless i had a spare, in case i wanted to go falcon shield blessing build.

shotgun dont use ias. and i even stated if i had 2 wh only would i try that so to each his own.

from my HF shotgun observations. my regular hits r like 3-6m each.

Whereas my shotguns do 40-60 m per beam. I shoot out 3 beam wide spread .... this is why i totally ignore ias altogether for my build

but i still feel BS has a place still for lower torments. Because it has a further reach, and is zero resource. Sure it's got less power than HF shotgun, but on a lower torment with a decent gear for it, it probably is better cause you can hit more things and farther. Wouldn't that save you time then short-medium range shotgun that requires you to wait 5-10 seconds im betweem champ recasts ?

normal bounty runs would be by my bet or would they skip falcon for the swiftmount 1hander flail ? or use the swap strategy ?

Not sure if this new fire crus build by cookiemanner was posted yet so here it is in the full details explained.







i didn't yet try fire build myself, but looking at the video demonstration, seems it has a far wider reach than shotgun, also less down time on nuking (just seems like he is constantly spamming without slowing, except for the cooldown on fallen sword).

one reason thats preventing me from going this spec is the new attribute stacks i now need.... e.g. pickup radius....

This is especially harsh when the gear requirement is akkhan. it's not easy to find akkhans, or even a good akkhans for that matter. And now you got to farm a new set just for this new specialized build ....... honestly because of this set back, i'm not too concerned about rushing to a fire build i'll just take my time with it.

Shotgun is still my main build and focus. But i'll keep a spare for fire builder if i do get dupes

the 10% dmg boost seems nice, but cookiemanner seems to think max cdr is needed. Any opinions which is better here, cdr or 10% dmg in the weapon ?

i was a shield basher before.

but i've since switch to hf shotgun now i do 40-60m ..... so shield bash is not worth it

using near perf gear (i'd rate mine somewhere around 85% complete....) you can get 40-60 m per beam. 3 beam total wide spread.

But even then you'd need to utilize the rapid spam technique, by holding down movement, while spamming HF. People who don't, won't really feel as satisfactory with this build if not played correctly

looking at firestarter build, that seems much easier to play with

i play quite a bit and i can corroborate that this theory is more or less real.

This is how i farm e.g. 5 hellskulls in a single game ........ not to mention other dupe loot. this becomes more apparent when your not only getting dupes for 1 item, but multiple items ......

so the strategy is, if you confirm something in your existing game's loot table, you then farm that game likd mad e.g. rifting and spend shards on that item type until you get it.

sometimes i can gamble kadala for 5 shields within a 3-4 hour span. somtimes it takes a whole day for the item to drop e.g. akkhan glove set item

also dependent on your rng :[ even if you do know something is in your current loot table.

another curiousity is outside that loot table there is also a chance to get loot outside your own class .... i think this is a totally random variable not really sure if it applies to your own class as well to some extent ...



currently i'm hunting witching hour, but i'm finding it hard to get it in my loot table. i rift and gamble to check if it's there, but no luck :{ my rng is bad.
