both of us bought from the same auto dealer with two days different, enjoyed same promotions, has turbo badge, the only different is this electronic vacuum pump, the chasing number difference between us is around 900, his number is xxxxxx 128948 and mine is xxxxx 128050, and how about urs?

*
that is also my question, why others' turbo badge eb has the vacuum pump, and mine or urs do not have?

and what is the purpose of changing the emblem to turbo?

The vacuum pump is for brake booster, and CVT3+ has hill hold assist.
The new batch only has it, as I oredi mention after my first visit to service center, a white uniform guy told me.

If you get 2014 car without these thing, then is old batch, whether Turbo emblem or CFE.
*
so may i know what is the purpose of changing cfe to turbo emblem?

Would like to know the wiring of vacuum pump, anyone care to have a look?
From what I've studied, it requires an external pressure sensor, and some connection to the ECU. It will only activate when necessary.
*
you would like to install the pump yourself? smile.gif

Just sharing my findings. I think my EB consume fuel at a very tolerable rate. Pump in RM 100 or equivalent to approx 47.62 L i able to get about 450KM of total distance. And put in mind that the driving style is not considering any fuel saving. And its 50% town 50% hiway.

10.58 L/100KM
9.45 KM/L

Is it ok ?

No modification done except installation of genuine Pivot Mega Raizin kedai potong voltage stabiliser. And ECU firmware haven't been updated since January 2013. So its an old version firmware.
*
mine currently always maintain at 8.8L/100km, so you can have better oil consumption in future smile.gif

they ran out of CFE emblems?

seriously guys.. its a rebranding exercise by proton... CFE rebranded to Turbo.. its just an emblem Change..
the vacumm pump, probably u got the car that was made right before the vacumm pump thingy got incorporated in to the design...
*
that is my first impression also. running out of emblem.... doh.gif

but that does not make sense at all. for the badge changing, typically for other brand is changing the internal and other other accessories, but proton just change the tag? rclxub.gif

So that people know 'eh?! WTF, proton also got Turbo, some more on MPV?! I better check it out.'
SOS: Proton dealer.
I'm hoping. Need wiring diagram.

I know new model of EB CFE has 2 extra things, the brake booster and CVT3+.
The gearbox is out of question, since the wire harness is different. At least, brake booster can hope. Anyone?
*
really WTF proton.... tongue.gif

i also think that CVT3+ is out of the picture already since that will be a major operation with professional tools...

as for the vacuum pump, i raised my situation to proton via their sc and 3s center, already, but not getting any update from them yet.... mad.gif

And cfe=charged fuel efficiency? Not so fuel efficient issit.. if higher compression is possible, fuel economy will drop to below 10l/100km for you exora guys and around 6l/100km for us, sedan/hatch guys..
*
mine fuel consumption is from the beginning 10.3L/ 100km, until now always around 8.8L/100km or 8.9L/100km. highway 110-120km/H, also 8.9L/100km

so i think is really fuel efficient already. plus the car is very power, especially climbing hill.... thumbup.gif

maybe is ur golden right foot problem..... tongue.gif
