Im newbie here. My name is Khairul from Seri Kembangan, Selangor. I still waiting for my new EB Std Plum Red. Nearly 2 weeks already after my loan approved... Here i hv some Q for u guys.

1. Any different in NVH between EB Premium and Std model?
2. I want to change the steering to Bold Premium or Preve (with paddle shift) steering. I read someone done tis b4. So can u share with me where u did it (installation)? How bout the airbag?
3. Upgrade to 16' or 17' sport rims. Is it will void the warranty?
4. Leather seat cover? Anyone installed? I can see a lot of ready made PU/Semi leather seat cover price between RM400-RM700 - how bout quality and fitment? Or better to customized and cost around RM1.5k - RM2.5k. Any recommendation shop?
5. Any good installer shop of audio system for Exora?
6. Do the EB Std comes with fabric finish door panel? Becoz in the brochur stated with fabric door panels. But in showroom i saw all plastic???

Any given oil can be use till 10k km... no problem! BUT all depends on how the car been driven and the type of engine. But for 'TURBO' car normally highly recommended FULLY SYN and service interval will be less than 5k km! Tis is normally for heavy modded TURBOs. This is becoz the heat/temp esp inside the engine is VERY HOT in Turbos. If u use for MYVI or Saga FLX Mach 5 for 10k km then ok... I dont think mineral's 20w-50 is good for EB brand new engine. It oso will effect the FC...

p/s : EB warranty is 3 yrs or 5 yrs??

From my experience, Toyo C1S 205/55/R16 (Made in Japan) is very good. I bought that day for my other car @ Teck Ming , Sunway RM330/pc after trade in old tyres inc balancing & alignment. I love the grip & quietness of the tyre. Very comfortable too...

Guys...

I already got my EB Std yesterday. So far no complains (touchwood). Immedietly sent my car to accessories shop to install :-

1. Rear spoiler.
2. Rear chrome lining.
3. Chrome door handles
4. Chrome inner door handles
5. Side moulding.
6. Exora chrome (with blue led light) scuff plates.
7. 'Carbon' sticker door pillars.
8. 16" oem Proton Preve sport rims.

All in inc installation : RM 1620.00

Next project :

1. Car safety tint.
2. Semi leather seat cover.
3. OEM Fog light with OEM switch panel.
4. DVD audio system.
5. Spray the side mirror with body color.

I read in the manual's book stated engine oil recommended 10W-30 SL or higher. So i did searched in website, Petronas Mach 5 mineral oil hv 10w-30 grade oil! So maybe for 1k and 5k services i will use the Mach 5. FYI, 10w-30 will improve the FC.

* Where can i buy the luggage net?? Anyone bought from outside? TQ

EB Standard oso got luggage net? So i must ask my SA... TQ.

My EB got a light vibration when i accelerate from standstill till approx 50km/h. What is the problem? Still under 1k km.. can hear my smart tag vibrate when i put it under the steering compartment... B4 tis i owned Saga FLX CVT. I think the Saga is more smooth than EB.

Yesterday did my 1k km service. Opt for fully syn Syntium 1000 15w-50 and hv to top up RM120. Complain about the vibrate when accelerate 0-40km/h the SA told me its normal for all EB. Tis morning installed :-

1. Stiff ring - RM290 (inc labour)
2. Ultra racing strut bar - RM120
3. Pioneer double din dvd player + 2 headrest monitor - RM1400 + RM120 (reverse camera)

Can feel the steering more solid. I wanted to install the voltage stabilizer but no stock at the moment. When the aircond compressor kick in, the light dimming effect is really obvious!!

So next project :

1. Voltage stabilizer + grounding.
2. Works/K&N air filter
3. Leather seat.
4. Sound proofing (KL Auto)

* My FC seems good. For the 2nd & 3rd fill up i got 450km ++ till the last bar started to bling! Hope the FC will improves..

Its tower bar in the engine compartment. Mine EB std dont hv it!

My EB already 43 days... 4300km. So far did my 1st service but opted Syntium 1000 15w-50. So hv to top up RM120. Reflashed the software coz my car hard to start after the 1st service. (twice) But after reflashed the FC seem to be a bit higher > 10.5l/100km!! No matter im driving on highway @ 90km/h or 150km/h. In town driving it will shoot up till 11.2l/100km.

So far so good...but the rattling and vibrating sound when u start to press the throttle esp in the morning coz some disturbance. Power wise...hehe even Honda Stream RSZ could not catched up with me! Already installed:

1. stiff ring.
2. Ultra Racing tower bar.
3. Pioneer dvd player + 2 headrest monitor.
4. Super leather seat. (warranty 3 years).
5. Security tinted black 80% all round except driver, front passenger and front windscreen (50%)!

The 2014 model come with improve brake system. If u want to feel the 'hill start assist' feel...simply double press the brake pedal - let say u holding the car with pressing the brake pedal, lift ur foot then depress it again (on D). When the traffic light turns green, lift ur foot from brake pedal as usual then press the accelerator!

I dont think so... it's more to cosmetic improvement! The dvd player just plug & play no cutting any wire.

TQ. Mine Bold Turbo 2014 std model. Mine is Pioneer Dvd player. No GPS but got USB port... the speaker still std but the sound improved !!

It's Preeve's rim! Bought 2nd only RM380. Try to upgrade the player 1st then u will hear improvement from the std speakers. Try to find a player with movie mode sound - 5.1ch effect.

For me i always practice to crank AFTER the warning signals go off - abs & airbag warnings! Been doing tis with my old cars - Wira, Spectra, Optima. So far soo good. Only start up @ the 1st crank. Only twice got issues with my EB but in that case the 'gearbox' warning sign came off. After reflushing the ECU its now ok.

Just my 2 cents...
