I got waja with te37sl 215 45 17 n OEM 195 65 15..in term of fuel consumption with my te37sl less fuel con compare to oem due to lightweight.if want to go for replica find almost similar dimension with rigidity design(exp required). Tire also play some role here for your fuel consumption n speed + safety..normal Silverstone, falken, dunlop can't beat eagle f1 asy2 n ps3...one directional vs asymmetrical..I go for asym.but with above quality u hv to see your own pocket size smile.gif it worth later on..in term of stable its combination of all..using 15 also can be stable with 195 size

im also from waja before. from 195/55/r15 inch stock to 205/50/r16 inch te37 the fc is not different. but when change to 205/45/r17 inch ssr type F the FC suffer abit. so i think the same with EB. up 1 size shud not be a problem. and the width of tyre also effect this. not too wide from stock its okay. as per EB the stock is 205/55/r16. i upgrade to 215/45/r17...
*
u r right stock is 195 55 15
yup tyre width also play important role but from 195 to 215 should be fine rather than 225:
+/- is help from your rim weight/performance part (weight reduction)..thats why my waja fine(lighter if not mistaken <1.5kg each rim with tyre) with 215 45 17 rather than oem 15 combine with 195 65 15

wanna go for 18 & 19 also can but better buy original or bring weighing scale to measure your rim weight before and after change at rim/tyre wshop smile.gif performance tyre for 18 & 19 (deep pocket)

btw bro with your 45 series 17 on your eb do u have a lot of gap between wheel arch to your tyre rubber or u already change to lowered spring/adjustable?

nop. only 2mm smaller than stock gap. rclxms.gif  now still on normal spring and abs.
*
that's mean No need to go for 50 series to close the small gap its already smaller 2mm thumbup.gif
however it will be comfortless for newborn
btw bro 2mm or 2cm? sweat.gif

IC IC is it true??? icon_question.gif ..Tot wanna swap/dwngrade the rim size to save some budget on performance tires...haiz 16 inch and above really kills off my pocket rclxub.gif ....

[/quote

Im planning to buy the Vossen rim too,but i have no idea which one to choose..

Vossen CV3,CV5,CV7.I asked the club members and they said
to use 215/45/R17..and they said i need to lowered my exora so wont have gap between tire and fender..hmm
*
2 things..choose performance less comfy
Choose comfy less performance
No need to lowered if u prefer that size..the gap are just nice for all road here in Malaysia
But if afraid hit rear arch body..just roll it in
I saw one owner use 50 series with 17 n lowered spring so far ok with arch modification

oh i mean the diameter. the stock tyre 205/55/r16 diameter is 632mm. now im using 215/45/r17 diameter is 625mm. so its smaller than stock tyre in diameter by 7mm. a bit compromise on the comfort side since the sidewall is less. =)
*
Huhu..I thought close to arch but increase.I think reasonable just a bit low center gravity with increased each tire width still more road grip smile.gif

I don't think the rims alone will affect the weight by that much. It's definitely a combination of everything that's different between the 2 variants. For example, maybe the premium's leather seats are heavier than the cloth seats on the standard. Or maybe even the ceiling mounted screen adds a little bit of weight. Just assuming laugh.gif
*
best example ever thumbup.gif laugh.gif but its true even a small grammage can help u every sec..i nvr see race car like WTTC or WRC put normal item such as rear seat, glass window.they all replace with performance part e.g; roll cage, Polycarbonate Lexan window n more to get weight reduction and enhance performance with safety biggrin.gif

I remember reading from a car magazine awhile ago that the stock tyres (GTRadial Champiro BAX2) are supposed to be performance tyres. Why would proton put performance tyres on what is supposed to be a family car? tongue.gif
*
I think is just an agreement between P1 & gtradial which mostly P1 refer to low cost n agree with gtradial statement which bax2 fall under performance tyre..I think the best product from gt is SX2..
From my exp..I look for tyre compound n the last no
..e.g, 91Y which it can stand to high speed..then I will select the quality control certified their product after test run with race car@track car..e.g, le mans or endurance.TUV..then I will check the tradewear n traction..then tyre trade design this will impact on my criteria..grip during last min braking, short distance, fuel saving,hi speed float on water stability, grip during heavy raining, if tyre totally damage i would prefer easy brand which can be found in many tyre shop n replace the same model n lastly price. smile.gif...d best product i've ever use eagle f1 asy2 made in Germany trade wear AA traction A 215 45 17 91Y per pc less than rm600

Exp from one directional n asymmetrical.
Brand gtradial,Silverstone, Dunlop,Goodyear,Michelin there r more but forgot..now looking for bridgstone re002

In term of website reference there are a lot..but easy link is go to the tyre manufacturer website
