* Prices in RRP ya notworthy.gif
* Use remaining budget to extend warranty to 3 years (if applicable). Can consider upgrading to 8GB RAM too if you want- will help in multitasking
* Just choose the one that you like the most. But in terms of stock performance, the Lenovo Flex 14 will be relatively faster because of the SSHD

i think i do remember you, girl. anyway :

Dell
Inspiron 14, i5-4200U + Nvidia GT720M@RM1699 [1.99kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), Linux, 6 cell; W8.1SL@RM1899

save back your budget, since your usage are more related to normal ones. if you want more lighter and thinner, can go for this :

Dell
Vostro 5470, i3-4010U + Intel HD4400@RM1899, 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W8, 3-cell

prices are RRP and negotiable. use the remaining budget to upgrade RAM and extend warranty to 3 years. icon_rolleyes.gif
and exchange HDD to SSD if you want blazing fast performance.

Thanks guys
I have gone through the list of suggestion, the 8 hours battery life on flex 14 is tempting.
thinking of getting this and swap hdd with a 128gb ssd rclxm9.gif

Just want to add that the Vostro series still suffers from weak WiFi I think sad.gif
Sad, but its true..  sad.gif
I don't think the Flex 14 can last 8 hours haha laugh.gif
4-5 hours maybe with its 4-cell battery (iirc)
But its still a great ultrabook.
Well, no point getting the Flex 14 if you intend to throw in an 128GB SSD in the 1st place! haha  laugh.gif

if not flex 14, what would you go for if you were me?
