It shouldn't be a problem to install different versions of Windows for your notebook, provided supported drivers are available nod.gif

http://www.techhypermart.com/notebooks/msi...p-notebook.html

But I love the spec of the laptop wub.gif

how does laptop price market run ?
like if one company release new laptop(2014),
will these laptop (2013>) and laptop(2010>) price down or most of the time stay the same ?

the common theory is price for older models will reduce, while latest models will increase by around 10-15%.

heck, thats why i prefer to wait price drop for Alienware M17x R4 so i can loot it at lower price and buy upgrade parts.
*
same here tongue.gif
now hoping i'm able to loot msi cx61 since i can't invest much on buying gaming laptop sweat.gif cry.gif

Theoretically only laugh.gif
It doesn't apply to all notebooks.. I've still seen some irresponsible shop sellers selling old notebooks 3-4 generations behind at their original RRP... and what's more surprisingly, some still buy them  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

i'm worry how my uncle gonna buy doh.gif

thats why when i found old laptops selling at abnormal price, i will avoid them. laugh.gif
we need to have strong common sense about the pricing as well. nod.gif
its true. laugh.gif
technology is hard to chase as every year there will be newer models. my point of view towards buying laptops and phones :

Phones - buy the highest end of the particular brand and change every 2-3 years.
Laptops - buy the mid-high end ones of the particular brand and change/upgrade every 2-3 years. for upgradeable laptop's case, just upgrade the graphics cards once in 2 years.

however, this only applies for those whom are lucky. tongue.gif
*
but i have weak sense of laptop pricing since i mainly focus on learning spec and not price sweat.gif
and who know how my uncle might get mix up with the "free gift" unsure.gif

and for msi xc61,
normally the warranty is how long ?
and if i were to extend it, how much would i cost to extend to 3 years ? hmm.gif

you can always check back the price via online and compare it actually.
for MSI, if im not mistaken its 2 years carry-in and 1 year international. no warranty extension available.

1. Preferred Brand : any but please no apple shakehead.gif
2. Budget : rm2000 max
3. Usage : photoshop and sims 3 rclxms.gif
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14 inch
5, preference : win.7 and 256GB ssd. (got 1TB external HDD)

actually plan on buying the MSI CX61 2OD-078MY.

Your requirements are unrealistic bro laugh.gif
I suppose you will at least need closet to RM3k for a notebook like that  hmm.gif

14"
Lenovo Z400 touch, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT740M + (1366x768, touch)@RM2399, 4GB, 1TB, W8; 2 years warranty

*upgrade to 256GB SSD and at least 8GB RAM
*
Why is it unrealistic? hmm.gif
Thanks for the recommendation biggrin.gif
Is it possible to not having a touch screen ? hmm.gif

is it cause of the ssd ? hmm.gif
cause that cost a bomb ohmy.gif
if without the ssd,
will it be more realistic ? wink.gif
