1. Preferred Brand: Any
2. Budget : if possible under rm1.5k (DOS only)
3. Usage: I don't play games . browse ,movies and office work only .
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 13-14 portable and lightweight preferred . but i need a faster processor than the atom netbook that I bought previously disappoint me .

13" notebooks are generally more expensive unfortunately sad.gif
Can consider these:
14"
Dell
Inspiron 14-3437, i3-4010U + Intel HD4400@RM1399[1.99kg], Ubuntu, 4GB, 750GB(5400rpm), 4-cell; W8SL@RM1549

Lenovo
G400s, Celeron 1005M + Intel HD @RM999[2.2kg], 2GB, 500GB, FreeDOS, Black/Red
G400s, i3-3110M + Nvidia GT720M@RM1449, 4GB, 500GB, FreeDOS
G400s, i3-3110M + Intel HD4000@RM1349, 4GB, 500GB, FreeDOS; W8@RM1499

HP
14-d006TU, i3-3110M + Intel HD4000@RM1349[1.95kg], 4B, 500GB(5400rpm), Ubuntu
14-d002TX, i3-3110M + Nvidia 820M@RM1449[1.95kg], 4B, 500GB(5400rpm), FreeDOS

*Prices in RRP~
Depending on how adventurous you are, you can actually get one of the cheapest ones, then throw in an SSD, that way you will get a much faster computing experience (even more than the expensive ones laugh.gif)

hmm very limited choice i have . the HP is a good brand or not ? I have few friend that don't recommend buying it since after 1 yr warranty ended there must be something wrong with the laptop . screen problem , graphic card / mobo prob etc . how does Celeron 1005M perform ? i think that is the cheapest you recommended here .

thanks bro . dell +3yrs warranty is the best choice then wink.gif
but the hp spec +nvidia 820m is tempting. I actually can afford it but not really interested with the brand .
