QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 21 2014, 07:57 PM) Unfortunately no Most of the time the RAM is soldered in slim notebooks I noticed most of the sellers listed the Flex 14 as 2kg or 2.2kg? which is strange as without ODD, it should be lighter. Is there one with 1.8kg and below? Also most of the listings have GT720M instead of GT820M, does it mean only specific sellers have GT820M? Thanks again!

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Apr 25 2014, 11:46 AM) To be honest, most people don't really care about that 0.2kg difference haha Different sources are giving different weights so we are not sure as well The one with GT820M is the newer version, go for those instead Then I need to do more lifting LOL What do you think of Acer Aspire V5-473PG-54204G50 14" Intel® Core™ i5-4200U-1.6GHz | 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB SATA HDD | NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 740M | est 8 hours battery If i read it also says: OB 4GB x 1 upgradable to OB 4GB + 8GB x 1 Is Acer brand ok? Any brands that are not recommended? Thanks a lot! This post has been edited by elblink: Apr 26 2014, 02:17 AM

QUOTE(aristotletan @ Apr 26 2014, 11:32 PM) The most underrated laptop in lowyat forum I would say. The reason is because they don't prefer touchscreen laptop. LOL. Will look into [PF] T.J.'s recommendation of Flex 14 earlier based on my requirements below. QUOTE(elblink @ Apr 21 2014, 01:16 PM) Any suggestions are welcomed! 1. QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 16 2014, 09:43 AM) Since you are into light gaming, it doesn't hurt to go for the MSI with a FullHD screen, you will enjoy your movies or multitasking more with one Not sure whether the price is exactly accurate (seems too good to be true), but do look out for this one 14" Lenovo Ideapad Flex 2-14, i5-4210U + Nvidia 840M +(1920x1080; IPS touch)@RM2499[2kg], 4GB, 500GB, W8.1, 2 yrs; colors: red/white *Use remaining budget to upgrade to hybrid HDD or SSD, upgrade to 8GB RAM Fuyoh! The Flex 2 spec getting better and better! Ram can be upgraded for Flex 2??

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 18 2014, 11:24 AM) It should be upgradable, 2 RAM slots iirc Awesome! Will wait for this model instead of flex, more time to get increase budget Unless by that time Dell Inspiron 14 can come out with something similar around the budget and I might just take Dell. The NBD add on sure is attractive! Wonder if Lenovo also have NBD add on?
