Just spoke to the Sony rep and I was told that they confirm the delivery by today via special "service" from Gdex. It could be tonight. How late can gdex delivet anyway?
*
lol, i am having it delivered to office. how late am i supposed to stay in the office? timed delivery or same day delivery i guess, but i didn't know gdex does that unless it is some sort of special arrangement between them, but i wouldn't put my bet on it now.

Sony called at 5pm, said delivery is running late and expected 6.30pm. but i said i have to go off by then, so i offered to self collect it myself tomorrow provided i have the details that i need, consignment number and which gdex hub. he said he will check and call me back if it can be arranged or not. i told him pls confirm by today, he said he will. but till now, there's no news. guess i now have no choice but to wait for monday. but i have half a mind to demand an explanation for some half assed customer service and also want to lodge a complaint to the consumer authorities.

How is the quality of non VR games using cinematic? Is it as good as normal FHD TV?

I tried London heist demo in the curve and it is very blurry.

Thanks. 😁

pic quality is degraded but otherwise is like playing a game using a cinema projector /or inside a cinema. there are 3 size options, medium(default), small or large(this one, you may have to move your head to see different parts of the screen).

in regards to project scorpio, will wait and see. i kind of expect it to be xbox one 'pro', but a lot more powerful, blurring the lines of pc and console. with the direction ps4/ps4 pro/xbox one/scorpio is taking, are we seeing the beginning of the end of 'true fullblown' consoles? i think VR did somehow changed their mindsets a bit although ms and sony taking different approaches to this.
i will wait before deciding to get ps4 pro or scorpio or nintendo switch for that matter. but what is real right now is that the masses have a chance to experience VR due to the price point despite its video quality of the current games.
whether VR holds will now depend on support and then on the cost of VR options out there to go down , and the quality to go up. i think with the support for VR going up in recent years and probably years to come, it should.

Where do you guys place the processing unit? Apparently you can't place it on top of the PS4 as it will overheat. Really need to rearrange my TV cabinet tonight.

my PS4 is vertically placed , so is my VR processing unit.

Eve , I heard even though is a full priced game but paying more money for microtransactions will fasttrack a player through. that's why it may put off some ppl. anyone have comments about Eve?

VR motion sickness, i guess will take quite some getting used to. resolution/quality/calibration aside, more caused especially(for me) when there's quick camera movement/twisting but body/eyes are not moving thus body/brain will feel as though somewhat disoriented . when i feel uneasy, i just bear with it for a while , when it's too much, i try closing my eyes for 2-3 seconds and take some deep breaths. if that doesn't work, then i pause/stop for a period of time, get a drink, go toilet break before coming back. still happening for me, but i feel that its getting better and better.
but that's just for me

lol, its not that kind of game. more like a what japanese girls call "heart-kyun" kind of game. like how it feels like an experience being a character in a somewhat anime 3D world.

^^NICE! Are there at least English subs for this? Still contemplating to get Robinson but I might just get it since I like Dinosaurs and exploration.
*
they isn't any english subs. this and Persona 5(for its Japanese voiceovers) actually proves to pay when you know at least some Japanese. well, that apart from enjoying concerts in Japan and idol handshake events, hehe.
but Summer lessons isn't actually difficult, you are a 'go to home tuition teacher' , received a request to tutor a girl for a week just before her exams. so every day in the kissaten , you'll plan on what skills/lessons to tutor and the option of using extras to help increase the effect. then , during the lesson, you'll also choose the way you think is best to tutor(ranging from making the room brighter to cheering, just options in words). during the break, the results of the lesson will be displayed in a summary, then it is briefly a 'kyun' time, where you'll choose what to talk about and the conversations here are pretty good in VR(such as her sharing her earphone to hear her fav song , showing a photo beside you, etc) . after the lesson, the results of her skills progress will be displayed. this will go on for about 7 days, then the exam and her telling you her results, and after that, you can restart the game plus new tools/skills and new costume(for her) too, depending on your results.

For those who bought and played Bound in VR mode before, is it worth it? Reviews gave it around 7/10.  Will cost around RM44 (digital version).

For US PSN (again), got new free VR items to try ... Gary the Gull, a short interactive VR film (736Mb) and VirZOOM Arcade, looks like a combat racing game (2.4Gb) ...
Non free but notable new VR 'games' this week ... NBA 2KVR Experience ... too bad it's not the real basketball match in VR ... just a collection of mini-games of shooting basketballs ... (from the gameplay trailer).

it is an action platformer. its not difficult apart from the fickle camera angles/controls(ruins the experience a bit but its still ok). but with VR, it is pretty good and the story is pretty meaningful. i would say imo , yes it was worth it. one of the games you can wow your guests with, i would say.

I'm going to think of it that way. I'm going to DL for my brother in law because he never had an "intimate" experience with a female before so when I mentioned Summer Lesson to him, his eyes lit!  thumbup.gif

like we said, its not a difficult game, there's no game over. the 1st few attempts you may struggle to understand, but after a while you'll figure it out one way or the other. the icons also make some parts of the game easier to understand even for those who don't understand japanese. just enjoy what could be the beginning of the new era of "dating" games.

So, anyone completed RE7 in VR already?

I haven't completed the game yet, just got 'outside' the house, looking for 'mama'.  sweat.gif But, this is hands down, the BEST PSVR experience so far.

The ability to physically lean and look around corners to hide or search for enemies is at a whole new level. Immersion is impressive.
I'm using Smooth turning with speed increased to 8. Totally zero sickness and the movement is very fluid.
Seriously, those playing this on normal 2D. just stoppppp. Off your PS4 and go get a PSVR, then only resume.  devil.gif

i took my PS4 to Ipoh and played and finished in 2D at the homestay. did not bring my VR due to to many stuffs to bring. will do it soon now that i am back home. but some things will be spoilt now that i know what approximately to expect.
