QUOTE(zamnrul @ May 9 2015, 06:54 AM) my application rejected..i start working february 2015.then got payslip 3 months.and maybank only updated my statement 2 months in pdf.april not included..then yesterday morning she call me to ask my hr number..so i give her..then around 11 oclock i got message " RM0.00 We regret to inform you that your application has been unsuccessful. Thank you for your kind interest". i dont have any loan.i dont have car or anything.i try updated my epf dont update from feb 2015 until now.so because of this not updated or what..please advice That's normal because your record is too clean, the bank is not sure whether you would be a good borrower or not. When I first applied for credit card, one year after working, way back in 2012, what a ridiculous experience it was. I applied for CIMB, OCBC and Citibank. All were rejected. CIMB was completely bonkers as my salary was credited into CIMB. My pay was above RM36k per year back then also. And I only applied for the most basic card. After countless of rejection, I went to Bank Islam. Thankfully, it was approved. Not long after that, all other card applications were swiftly approved. I just bought from Xiaomi Mi4i using CIMB Cashback card. Completely forgot that CIMB, HLB and SC charged cross border fee. ie, even if the transaction is in ringgit, they would charge extra if the credit card server is located abroad. The phone price was RM749. CIMB put in the statement RM754.99. RM5.99 (0.8%) cross border charge. Haih. Guys, be careful. Don't use CIMB/HLB/SC cards at Xiaomi, Apple, Agoda, Paypal among others. Use your cards from other banks. Refer to this thread https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2519936/allThis post has been edited by Mr Gray: May 31 2015, 09:22 PM

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jun 1 2015, 07:42 AM) I remembered last time (two months ago) bought a phone from Xiaomi too. Based on the UOB statement, the amount was charge as same as what is the price of the phone itself from website, no extra charge. Perhaps it now has charge for cross border fee?? Only CIMB/HLB/SC charge cross border fee. All other banks don't have it, including UOB.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jun 1 2015, 09:26 PM) Called CS this morning to do two things: 1. Inquired about the RM 10 Zing fee. *Previous CS said it'll be auto-reversed in the next bill statement but today's CS told me that the Zing card needs to be terminated first in order for auto-reversal of the fee. That's why I said that there's always a discrepancy between the CSes! 2. Changed the default threshold of SMS alert * Default is RM 1000 and I have set it to RM 201 Why not set to RM1? When I first requested for that, the CS said can't be done. I then said, Maybank, and Public Bank allow it, why can't u allow it as well. Then he said he will put that in a report but can't confirm whether my request would be approved or not. The next day, I got an sms from CIMB saying it has been approved.
