QUOTE(awang @ Jan 22 2007, 11:36 PM) my new rig ..plz add me.. amd x2 3800 (am2) biostar tf550 mushkin ddr2-800, 1gb x 2 gigabyte 7300gt 256mb acbel 450 watt creative audigy 2 p/s: can the psu support my current hardware? i did ask in the technical section coz my cpu hangs even after changing to new proc, mobo and ram..one of the answers said that my hardwares overload my psu..for your info, my cpu randomly hangs, but only the window background, except the mouse pointer..i need to restart by reset button..any idea why? i've reformatted the drive several times already.. u have almost the same spec with my recently assembled PC... but i dont have any prob with it and it works very well, and its ver fast to turn on and to switch off. [and already infected with trojan ] the different is i'm using 500W...hope that u dont start tweaking the bios first..let it run on normal default bios...then after 4 hours running and lenjan with some game...baru start tweaking to OC it to 2.3... and except the RAM..i'm using normal kingston 1Gb 533 only...and no sound card..
try to skip out the sound card first....and ur HDD running with sata2??

QUOTE(kalakatu @ Jan 24 2007, 10:55 PM) err..i dun really need a SLi mobo..just a single graphic will be enuf.. all the motherboards listed above are retailed under RM400 and seriously i dun have a really high budget to buy a newest chipset mobo.. from what i had browsed thru this thread, tforce 550 should be good already.. but still,i need ur opinion becoz still confuse which mobo is really good for gaming.. this PC that i used to reply to this topic running on TForce 550 with AM2 3800+ retail with egate 7300GT ddr2... [my wife using the wireless laptop, so i'm locked in PC room]
and everything really nice....with that amount of budget.... mobo rm280 + AM2 rm494 + gpu rm308
not running this PC too much on games...coz doesn't have time after work....
and very steady OC up to 2.3 currently...and still do some OC to get it higher...but dont know the result yet...
dont know about 570..coz didn't assemble it...not much comment.. and shoot straight to 590...that currently working on...
i wont go for branded one if i have limited budget...coz the purpose is the same = playing game + donloding + interneting + some office works...
just an opinion....

dont worry bro...

QUOTE(vey99 @ Feb 25 2007, 07:22 AM) Heh but its not bad can prime 32M at HTT1333 also. Penapis: What vdimm your mobo support up to? prevoiusly i set 2.05v for ram...got only 2600 ngam2...
but when i change to 1.95v....i got 2663....
wow....even better...
can anyone explain how this could happen??? Added on February 28, 2007, 11:10 pmQUOTE(8tvt @ Feb 26 2007, 10:03 AM) and what about cpu voltage.. how much u set in bios? thinking to get the same board as urs... or fatality.. which one better? for bios..i dont do much..coz running on automatic OC..
but when using the T-Utility OC...i set 1.5 only...
between biostar and fatality,
if u think u wanna "hantam" ur mobo like im trying to do, then ok la...coz cheaper.. i bought for only RM680 maa.....so not "terasa sgt" la...if this mobo condemn... but if wanna use for long time and got extra money, go for fatality...
i'm a fan of ABIT since K7...really like to OC it..but quite expensive for fatality...
so choosing to use biostar la...
performance wise.....donno coz didn't try fatality..This post has been edited by penapis: Feb 28 2007, 11:10 PM

QUOTE(duarnt @ Mar 1 2007, 12:05 AM) RM680 so not terasa?? U must be rich dont say like that la...not a rich guy la... i assemble new PC for myself once a year only...
so this mobo use to be hantam only..coz learning how to OverClock... if it OverCooked...then get the latest and reliable and powerful mobo..then dont want to hantam anymore la...
the only setback for this project is buying the HyperTX...the fan really2 slow... dont like it...the OC temp reach 65 on max load on 100% fan speed... one day this CPU gonna OCooked...
other who is using HyperTX....got the same temp??

this is what i do for my Biostar 590-SLi...
in BIOS, I OC using automatic OC V8...so the Vcore set at 1.25 and vdimm at 1.95
then, use the T-OC Utility....set the vcore at 1.5 and vdimm at 2.05...
with these setting...i got 2663...HT 1333...temp. 65 full load....
works for me and finish superPI

QUOTE(goldfries @ Mar 2 2007, 04:43 PM) must you touch vdimm? cos RAM speed still below 667 in my case. i tried using that T-OC utility - my rig hang. donno why. and with air-con on, my full load (running 2x FAH client) is around 62c - 64c. however this is subjected to my exhaust fan speed. ok la....for temp...it varies according to room and place... nothing much can be said....
on hang when using TOC ....hope that no conflict between BIOS and TOC....
coz sometimes when i switch to V6 on BIOS, then on TOC try to set V8 setting.. then it restart...
dont know why...maybe range of voltage allowable by limited..

maybe..i said maybe...... this hyperTX not suitable for OCing..
due to low speed fan that attach to the cooler...
