Do you know that if we only change the H7 bulb brand (eg nightbreakers) voids the warranty too?
*
QUOTE(vikneswaranc_17 @ Jun 24 2014, 06:29 PM)
Yup.. I do know that.. that is why the original bulbs is always there in my house.
*
Err, actually, according to my SC, no, changing the light bulbs with after market ones do not void the warranty as long as they are of the same specs.

They are considered a part of wear and tear.

yeah high beam= headlight right

Just get Philips Crystal vision if you so want to change the stock bulb, or get Diamond vision of you want the aesthetic white light. At least if you get stopped, you can argue that they are halogen bulbs.

i took 2 hours to replace the right headlamp bulb with Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited sweat.gif

I only managed to install the left one by my own, even after I know the trick, the right one proved difficult. Ended up with the hand work of a very skinny accessory shop worker to do it doh.gif

submit documents for loan application by today.. Hopefully next week may get the good news.. if success then i will be 1 of the owner of CFE..

Congratulations in advance. A reminder though, don't freak out if you encounter some minor noise or rattling, all those can be fixed at the SC. It would be better if you don't have those problem when you receive it though.

guys im planning to change into to Philips Diamond Vision 5000K (Twinpack). There are this 2 types of packaging. Which one is good and trustable? And also should i change d fog lamp to philips or d main lamp?

1. Europe packaging - the packaging comes in oval shape casing, with English/Spanish/French/German descriptions.

2. Asia-Pacific/USA Packaging - the packaging comes in rectangular/squarish casing, & with Chinese/Korean/Japanese printed on the label.

Sifus help
*
Lol you must have been to that thread. Let me tell you, both are fine. The so-called inferior 'Asia-Pacific/USA Packaging' bulbs are actually made in neighboring countries of Germany, like Poland.

Since I don't want to have that awkward looks if I need to use high beam, otherwise a pair of lights would be whitish and another pair would be yellow, I changed both my low beams and high beam to Crystal Visions, one with the Europe packaging and another in Asia packaging (bought separately). Both are of the same quality in my book, the digital security codes were verified on the same website. The website also shows you how many times the code has been verified, so no same code can be used more than once.

I kind of regretted that I picked silver instead of gold/brown. Initially I thought that the color was very 'uncle'ish', and there was very very few Preve with that color on road. Soon after many people bought Preve, and the gold/brown looked very nice and unique.

I agree it doesn't feel as good...seems still hot. they said its EcoTint RayBarrier range, but it isn't that cool as claimed.
I wanna look for other brand la. anything to recommend? RayTech? Rhino?
*
Actually I am content with the quality of the tint, under intense sunlight it's pretty uncomfortable, especially from the windscreen. But overall it's pretty good, thinking of adding another layer by ECOtint.

Back to my question on the 3+2 yrs warranty, can someone scan the warranty list (in the doc you get on buying the Preve)? Need to have a better idea of what are and what are not in the 3+2 yrs warranty.

Tested drive Preve today. Not impressed initially, too shaky. This demo Preve is about 2 yrs old with long distance drives to country towns for sales demo. Later tried out a new demo Suprimo. Better in the shaking category but still not as good as Almera. Impressed with Preve's power and acceleration.

Cheerio.
*
Preve shaky compared to Almeera? I hope you're joking laugh.gif

I think I may have used the wrong word. Instead of shaky, maybe "vibration" is better. Due to engine and/or suspension? After Preve, i tried Suprimo, it was better but still more "vibration" than my expectation. The car sales man said that demo Preve is 2 yrs old and it has done a lot of trips to the country side for sales demo. Bad demo to use for customers as I have told him.

Read in the web on one Perve review saying something about this "vibration" due to big engine size and the tight front engine compartment.

Really, try Almera and you will see the difference. So quiet and smooth. but lack power.

Cheerio.
*
Believe me, I believe most people here have test driven other cars before buying Preve. If you meant the vibration, yes, it's more apparent in Preve because of the less refinement done compared to Suprima. Of course, Preve is the test bed for Suprima biggrin.gif

For me, I don't think that the 'vibration' is something bad, it will go away once the car moves. During high speed, Preve's bigger chassis actually helps in reducing the 'vibration'.

But every one of my passengers have same opinion as me, the tint doesn't do its job well hmm.gif
as you said, under intense sunlight it's really uncomfortable
*
That's why I'm thinking of adding another ECOtint layer to be better than what it is now. Maybe only the heat rejection tint as the one came with CFE is a 2-in-1 (security and cooling). Still looking for price though.

adding another layer u need to beware of roadblock then. cos for sure ur VLT will not pass.

Yes, but with the recent changes in window tinting regulation, I'm hoping by adding another layer, it would still pass the test. Of course, homework first.

So can I change to gear S while I am driving at 80km/h ?

You can but you usually won't need to. It just increases your rpm so it's useful if you are going to over take a car especially on Hill climb. Even so, most of the times D is more than enough.

Unless, of course, if you can find car that excels both in features and FC, but as you already know, it's impossible.

This happens *every year*. My car is 2 years+ and twice I've received this message. Just press "Dismiss" then press the "Map" button on the head unit. You won't be reminded again until next year.

I'm more interested in the instruction. Did you go to the SC and had it updated?
