hallo everyone, I'm using Macromedia Director MX to create a interactive application, then i will put the interactive application on my personal website for visitor to click and view it. The problem is the projector file published by director MX is too big size approximately 20MB to 80MB, how could i put such a big size file on net? i worry the file loading time will take too long and the visitor can't tahan on it. Is there any idea to make the file size smaller, or dun publish the file in projector? pls anyone help me solve this big problem, thankyou guys biggrin.gif

urm.. I thought for Director applications to be on the net, it needs to be a Shockwave type format..?

afaik, Director applications ca be rather big and there's no actual way of making small like Flash files.

Director to other format. Im afraid is hard to do because of the complicity of Director.
Suggestion:
1. Redo your stuffs in Flash. It will be very small there. smile.gif
2. Try reduce the cast size in director. convert images to 72 dpi and use simple images. I manage to reduce the size of a director file this way last time. I found out my cast are actually too big in size. Reduce them and import them using the import button rather than cut and paste into the cast.

Happy trying!
