Also, I swiped at Brussels Beer Cafe and felt a bit regret after swiping, but to my amazement CS said it was under dining. But when the statement came it does not fall under dining category. I saw it coming though.

No need to be confused on this. If you default the payment, I think you will lost the cash back also.
For me, I never bother on BT or any other form of delaying on payment(even is 0%) as once it become a habit, you will continue to over spend.

and i have my reason to shop for different items in all the above places. lol...

(b) will be the answer. But to have better tracking, make sure don't swipe last minute. Some transaction they may take 9 days to get posted.
