Yeap. The plastic feel from the z2 definitely gone from the z3. More metal like z1 but thinner and lighter.

Anyone noticed Sony changed some settings from the camera manual mode?

On the lower ISO, i no longer able to push the exposure time to be longer anymore. Used to be 1/4 s now lowest is 1/8s

Is anyone's phone turning off on its own? I've been facing the problem since last Friday. I noticed the location service is turned on by itself and minutes after turning it off, the phone shut down due to high temperature, but the phone didn't feel warm at all. Used Sony PC Companion to repair the phone and the phone had been working fine for the whole day, until I turned on the wifi. The location service turned on by itself again and the problem returned. Anyone has any idea in this?

Help.....my Z1 hang and I can't press any buttons to restart it. Also battery cannot take out one. How?? Help.......

I updated my Z1 to Kit Kat 4.4 v 108 yesterday via PCC. Everything was fine. Have my phone backed up before updating.

Before going to bed, battery power shows 68% and I charged my phone via magnetic cable. The next morning the phone battery was ZERO! and Whatsapp says my date is wrong. How this happens, can anyone help me please? he battery drained out overnight.

I also have the following Questions:-

1. If I want to revert to Jellybean, would the RESTORE my back up via PCC restore it?

2. Do I need to do a factory reset after updating to KK? Or it is not necessary.

3. I have waited until now to update to KK after all bugs been rectified BUT I still encounter such problems.

Can some experts here help me out. Would really appreciate it.

best you do a full reset when upgrading to 4.4

Ok..if I were to do a factory reset (last resort) all apps and data will be erased completely. Then I just need to RESTORE back all APPS and data via PCC again.

No need to restore apps via PCC la.... you do a fresh reset when you update to kitkat 4.4, then when you login to your google account, your phone or PLAY automatically loads all your apps for you. Just make sure you are sitting near a wifi spot for the download

but google only install back your apps, and maybe some games data will be saved too. but not all data will be saved. best and easiest is to use the "back up and restore" app. i think all xperia phone have this. just run the app, select what u want to backup, contacts, messages, game data, etc and set it to backup to your SD card.

then after u did the factory reset, run this app again to restore back all your apps and data.

but, my personal advise, only backup those data and apps important to u. best to redownload the apps from google play. cos we might not know if any of those apps is causing problem to your newly updated 108 firmware.

Now my magnetic cable is charging the phone well again.

my phone is around 8 months old only but the battery life is great. Only issue (yes, only issue) that i have with this phone is the damn camera.

No my magnetic cable is not SONY ori. Bought from oline BUT its as good as ori during my charging over night when my phone was on JBean then.

just keep in mind that 3rd party cable may degrade over time. my previous magnetic cable also degraded after 3 months i think, charges my phone very very slow like whole night only charges 10% or so...

you were just unlucky, been using 3 cables all working fine
