I went to the volume settings, adjust the slider to the left and then to max again (although the slider was at max before).
After this adjustment, all sound volume went back normal.
Can you try if this fix your sound problem?
There's a limit as to how detail images can be.
I notice noise improvement in high ISO usage. Also if you try to use manual ISO in manual mode, the liveview is smooth. No more laggy liveview.
*
Mm rarely use high iso coz I am not a heavy low light shooter. I always work within camera limit.

I never have laggy live view issue though unless when I set low iso on low light. Will test that when I got chance.

Hi all,

I swap from Iphone 5 to xperia z1 recently.
android 4.3

but i find xperia's camera is just disappointing?somehow it's just not as focus/sharp as what Im used to and the reason why I got the phone is for the camera. I;ve turned of the soft skin and most of the time i use manual touch focus. but I couldn't be shaking that badly every single time. and image stabiliser is on and most photos are static such as food.

and the front camera is just terrible. lots of noise?

any solution to this guys/gals? thankS!
*
any sample to show?

QUOTE(y_owez @ Apr 3 2014, 07:46 AM)
this was the least blurry.

cant seem to post other photos
*
how close was ur camera with the subject? as far as i know Z1 can't perform close up macro. Closest focusing diatnce was 7 or 8cm as i remember.

Some of my sample taken in office lighting

Did a quick photo test on the kit kat firmware

user posted image

The above was taken with 8mp and 100% crop. Weird thing i found was the ISO 400 and 800 that I set, turned out to be ISO 640 and 1250 from the exif data. Weird but I will try shoot more on weekend to test.

user posted image

And here the sample photo of 15mp (top) and 20mp (bottom) for ISO 400 and 800 and 100% crop.

I think I don't feel much improvement on the camera  sweat.gif

I do have some other food photos of the same night. but cant seem to upload to lyn...

which kinda settings should i use if i wanna take food in low lightning?
*
Manual, 8mp, ISO go 400 and a pair of steady hand.
If still blur, proceed to ISo 800 but dun expect pic are sharp since Sony has over processing algorithm in their phone.

yea..i want shoot something like that...bit bokeh at the background? iphone 5 was no problem. I know shouldnt be comparing iphone iphone all the time..

I prefer to touch focus so i can focus where i want..but even thought the focus box is where i touch.it  doesnt seem to focus as i hoped
[attachmentid=3916563]

above is i took last night( different enviro than my previous photo ). this was in a well lit place + manual + touch focus.

are u able to pin point where i focused? i took about 7 photo this one was hte best
*
use physical shutter button for more accurate focus because when u use touch focus, your phone position will slightly moved once u press the screen.

for bokeh, it is impossible for this camera (small sensor LOL) unless u r shooting close up and ur subject distant with background must far. Alternately, use background defocus mode for fake blur. Do note that it is blur, not bokeh.

btw i assume u focus on the meat tongue.gif but i detect hand shake

It seem like my phone was completely alright after the new 757 update. Only hang once which force me to hard reset the phone. Other than that I am satisfy with the Kit Kat.

I wish to get Z2 but huge price difference.

Z2 is RM2499 and Z1 is only RM1555.

By the way is it safe to get AP set. I'm thinking about getting it from SatuGadgetDotCom store
*
Z2 is 2399. wait it official here and street price will be cheaper than RRP.
Get a authorized and trustable AP dealer (though I dunno which is realiable. try ask around forumer here).
SatuGadget should be ok

If buy AP, is really depends on your luck whether you get a GOOD set or not. Warranty is another issue that you should worry.

So, its really your choice.  nod.gif
*
i think buying electronic stuff regardless ori or AP also depend luck liao 1 sweat.gif

Maybe. but I have to disagree though.
If every purchase depends on luck, then there is no need for quality control anymore and no need to differentiate AP and original warranty+price, might as well sell at pasar malam.  sweat.gif
*
As everyone replied earlier smile.gif
Anyway what i meant depend luck is, regardless u r getting ori or AP, there are sure nothing is 100% perfect. Even get original set will have defect unit. I am blessed so far nth wrong with all my phone be it AP or original.
So yea, if u r unlucky, you'll always get the defect unit. That's the point i trying to state smile.gif

QUOTE(redlyfs @ Apr 16 2014, 11:10 AM)
True. All phones goes through the same factory QC, it's only AP here in Malaysia because it's not meant to be in Malaysia

Try playing it with the Photo Sphere mode. I was testing it with my phone, and then something happen whenever there are only 3 or 4 shots left to take. I've been trying it for hours. Whenever it reaches the point where you only have to take 3 or 4 more shots left, it just sort of lag and not responding very well. It's like the gyroscope went wrong or something. In the end, you will get a few black patches here and there in your photo. I don't if it's just me or what.

Here's for everyone else. If you can't get this on Google Play store, try getting it from here.

Damn. What do you think? It's the app itself or it is not fully compatible for our phones yet.
*
i think is not compatible.
I remember install old google camera in my HTC One and it works perfectly for photosphere. But doesnt work on Xperia Z during that time.

Have you tried the Lens Blur feature as well? It's not really working too well for me, especially the part where it tells you to move your phone upwards or whatever. It will always tell you that, you are either moving too fast or it just can't blur out anything. Even when it does work, it blurs out pretty much everything. LOL!
*
i realize that. Don't shoot close up to the object or else it'll just tell u moving too fast.
So far that working fine for me as long as not shooting the object close up.

Then again, hate it we cannot use the physical shutter button on this camera

To be honest, I'm not a very patient guy. I have uninstalled the app from my phone. LOL! I can hardly get a clear shot using the Lens Blur mode. In my phone, it will actually only blur out random parts of the photo. Sometimes, it will also blur out the part I selected to be focused on. I will just download it once again and give it a try when there's a more stable, upgraded and better version of it. Maybe I'm just not that good at taking photos with my phone, I don't know.
*
haha no worries. I know the feeling. Sony Background Defocus still easiest to use (havent try LG and HTC 1)

So, you mean you can actually get it to work but for only that one time? I will try again, but maybe next time. LOL!
So it's is actually fine for the phone if the WiFi and Bluetooth are both switched on for almost all the time? It won't damage the battery? You will only get run out of juice faster?
*
haha will test more.. lazy play photosphere coz required alot time to captured those frames tongue.gif
