Display was blinking for a few days & finally died. Could be the adaptor too. Haven't tried to find adaptor replacement.

ah k, my experience was with the adapter dying... which i initially thought was the drybox unit itself too.
bought a replacement adapter from yl camera... then was fine.
probably best just to ask yl also and see what they say.

Thanks. Will drop by at YL if time permits. Can send my lens for fungus cleaning too. Oh, just realized both issues are correlated lol.

AIPO distributor in Malaysia is very friendly and helpful. If you have any problem with the AIPO dry cabinet within 5 years you can contact them directly and they will do all they can to help you resolve your problem. smile.gif

Hi guys... using aipo 48 for coming 5 years (yea 2009 batch), and brought another bigger one, i think is 68 2 years back.

for first time user, first time switched on, usually RH would be around 60-80 depend on weather. first time on usually will take 24 hours before it stabilized at 40-45% RH. (my 48 took 24 hours while the bigger 68 took 12 hours only)

blinking or funny writing on the display. change power adapter. the old 1A adapter is too weak for long run (or its china adapter batch). i got mine replaced for free... and i even had several friend who brought aipo after 2011 had their adapter broke around 6 month too, got free replacement. try to talk to the dealers. or if u buying a replacement yourself, grab a 2A ones. For 68 size about, grab 3A ones.

for those who has their RH stuck at 50 or wont go down (-5% to selected RH)... there could be 2 possible.
i) if u moved the drybox, check if there is enough space behind the drybox for air circulation. also try to tilt it 2degree backwards (as if like letting the water flow back)
ii) a little related to the top, there is a little 'water sponge' which may have been (suddenly cant recall the word) ermm rotten... u need to replace it, just open the rear cover of the T.E. thingie, u will see a yellow sponge, most probably dried up, wet it before u cut, a small 2mm wide stripe, and put it back into the hole u notice behind the T.E. kaotim.

the reason why the RH couldnt drop is mostly the water condensed from the inside is unable to flow out, hence vaporized back into the drybox.

Do we need to wait for the sponge to dry after wetting it to make 2mm wide strip?
