QUOTE(Jusb @ Apr 2 2014, 04:58 PM) guys do your saga bounce when driving on roads whereby it sinks at certain places such as the DUKE and MRR2? Is it because of the spring or absorbers? QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Apr 2 2014, 05:15 PM) QUOTE(davidke20 @ Dec 25 2013, 09:04 AM) 1) Check tyre pressure. Reduce to 29/28 to see whether it helps? 2) To check and see whether absorber is functioning properly, get a heavier person to use palm to push the car down. Then release quickly, see whether the car bounce right up. If it does, spring no problem. On the other hand, after the car bounce up, does it sink back down and bounce like a boat in wave(up down up down). Usually if absorber is fine, the car will bounce up not more than 2 times. At most 1.5. 3) If you switch off your aircon/radio, pay attention to your steering wheel. As and when you feel harshness like hitting a small stone or uneven road, you feel sensation from your butt, you hear gruk gruk gruk feedback from steering wheel and physically you can feel which front wheel is shaking, that lower arm bushing already koyaked. Hope this help. QUOTE(davidke20 @ May 10 2012, 06:56 AM) Khong absorber will not make noise. Its your foot work bushing that makes such noise when you went through bumbs/rocky roads. You prolly heard "gu lok gu lok" noise inconsistantly which came from lower arm/steering bush/absorber mounting/absorber bush....etc. Absorber normally can last up to 4 years depends on the road you use regularly. If you are regular rally driver that went through a lots of over jump, normally absorber will KO within 1 year. Khong absorber will result in car swaying left/right/up/down when you driving on slightly wavy free way such as Kesas/MRR2. Normal rubber bush is RM8/pc, soft and easy to ride. Silicone bush is RM20/pc, hard & lasting. Feels like driving a race car. This post has been edited by iskazulka: Apr 2 2014, 04:30 PMIf you can't feel whether the absorber is KO inside the car, you can test it OUTSIDE the car. Park your car, use bear hand to push 1 side of your front fender down with your body weight. Quickly release and see how your car sway. - Good absorber will bounce up and that's it. No other movement. - Bad absorber will bounce up(because of the spring), then the other side of the fender will go down like a chain reaction. Then the rear will also go down follow by the front bouncing up. The whole car swaying up/down/left/right. If the stock absorber is oil base absorber, you may find your car's foot work wet because of oil leak. If still can not justify, go out and hunt for a new Gaga, see when they park their car and walked away, immediately you go and push their car Added on May 10, 2012, 6:10 am |
