Only extremists never question the ways and methods of the people or ideals they follow or support. There can be support but there should be discussions and be critical when things are indeed wrong. Blaming referees, 8 years of back luck, injuries, lack of funds are no similar to blind hate of the westerners by the radical terrorists. This is not a mindset a football fan should have.

A football club is in the business of winning, it is not a place of rehab. Always remember that.

when Arsenal lost to Bayern 0-2 during 1st leg, I already mention that they should ignored the UCL, just concentrate on BPL and FA cup. now, with Ozil injured (in UCL match), will it give a direct impact to their quest for the other 2 titles?

like pepatah melayu "yang di kejar x dapat, yang di gendong berciciran". don't be greedy.

Wigan beat City last weekend so who's to say that we can't do the same, Ozil could've gotten hurt during training for all we care

Woah very deep. Terrorism radical what? sweat.gif I just want to point out that all of us here LOVE Arsenal, when the team did not perform as expected it's normal to vent our frustration somewhere and there is no better place than this forum because here we have people with similar interests etc. You don't expect us to speak about this at the office or at home when the audience does not even know the offside rule isn't it? So all the negativities are channeled here but 2-3 days later we will all be back to happy mood.

Win or lost won't change us (dunno about othe team's fan)..
We will focus on the next game and try to get the best result.
One game at a time.

We are used to not winning any trophies (for 8 seasons) but we were always finish in the top 4, which was the target earlier of the season (with the emerging power of spurs and Liverpool's winning streak at the time).

So yeah, let's focus on BPL, to maintain in CL places, and of course try to win wherever possible. Later, fight and win the FA Cup to cheer up.

being critical about the team you support does not make you less a fan. Being critical means a person wants the best to happen to the club. Blind optimism and support breeds extremism. I am thankful that you guys are not involved in politics.. else, ppl with such mindsets will eventually go down the path of terrorism  sweat.gif

i understand where you are coming from, but we are no where near extremist or blind optimism,
not even close to a trait of terrorism....unless you can justify, provide some facts of us being so
i'll take is as just mere random words and our story ends here.

anyways,
in terms of criticizing, i am criticizing VisionX mentality of giving up leg 2 against BayernM prematurely
IMO,that is simply so wrong in so many levels, especially when we are Arsenal FC
not Hull City or Crystal Palace.

try to imagine every clubs giving up the 2nd leg just because their first leg they are down 1-2 nil
imagine what this act would reflect to the football world, what impact it would do to major competitions and such etc etc,
the last time McCarthy fielded a reserve team when he manage Hull City against some big teams he got fined,
and not only that, at the end of the road he got fired and hull got relegated
Deportivo La Coruna came back 5 - 4 on aggregate against the Mighty AC Milan in the UCL 2004 after losing 4 - 1 on the first leg, and they to were fighting for La Liga title.

i think its just some of the fan's
they call is realistic, i call it lack of believe..they call it extremist, i call it lack in faith.
that's fine, i guess i gotta respect their opinions vice versa.

come to think about it, it pretty much relates to gaming as well, been playing Dota for more then 10 years now
I've seen people giving up games so fast, where they put no effort in fighting back, there are also countless game where i re motivate my team to fight back and won the game, and those moments are fking priceless. I realize gamers these days have very lil fight back mentality in them, that's disappointing and these type of breeds are seriously growing in numbers,I kid you not.

no use arguing/debating about this no more, its simply a clash of believes.
thus that's fine gotta respect VisionX opinion,
Sorry if i offended ne1.

blind optimism? extremism? terrorism?

wow.. seriously tht is a bit extreme shocking.gif

nobody want a player to get injured and nobody know it will happen.. in training also it can happen ma..

arsenal are in difficult position and certainly not fav coming to 2nd leg but anything can happen in football. to be fair to the fans esp the travelling fan.. they arent there just to support and watch a football match. the fans most likely want to see the team fighting for a win

I don't really care that much about Ozil being injured.
It's a good chance for Rosicky to play. He has been outstanding as of late.
Don't think we will be missing Ozil that much.
