Different people drive car differently and under different condition so quite meaningless to compare.
I have a HRV and everybody say they get 10 km/l. Mine? Around 8 km/l for very short 2 or 3 km distance town driving.

QUOTE(SleeplessEyes @ Jan 19 2021, 03:51 AM) Agree with you. My parents have a HRV too (non hybrid version) . if I were to drive it, with mostly light foot and once in a while "zoom" acceleration, can get 12KM/L, with ECO mode on. But for my mom, she drives less than 10KM, so yes, can get around 10-11KM/L. Eco Mode turned on. Oh BTW , they are using 5w30 Honda engine oil, not 0w20. Thinner oil does make a difference. I think those which claims to get 10KM/L, have really heavy foot, and turn off the ECO mode. I think the Honda service uses 0W20. Normal range is between 10 to 8 km/l. Depends on driving condition. I am certain, if for long distance, can easily get 12.

QUOTE(dwRK @ Jan 19 2021, 04:43 AM) yes we know... just showing potential... I have tried with another car. Long distance gentle driving can get me 50% MORE mileage compared to everyday town driving.

QUOTE(dwRK @ Jan 19 2021, 07:30 AM) ...and I'd believe you... I was testing to get more insights into Toyota's hybrid system... now I know the 1st/2nd gen favours moderate speed and some stop-go town driving and not highway where fc gets worse > 70 kmh... whist the 3rd gen on the Camry can do better... now to study Honda's new hybrid system... I have a friend with a small Prius. He says he pump petrol only once a month and drives like a manic around town.
