Seems like your Civic 1.8 ivtec (8th Gen Civic) FC not much different compare Civic 2.0 ivtec (8th Gen Civic).

Yes agreed. It has been discussed extensively in Civic Gen8 club..Both Civiv 1.8 & 2.0 having almost similar fuel consumption..i.e on 100% urban about 10km/ltr, mix driving 12km/ltr & on highway about 14.5km/ltr rclxms.gif

Normally cars >1.8 having low RPM for higher speed lor..even my old Civic 1.8 was doing m,uch better than my new Sonata..I was getting 2100rpm ~110km/hr and at 120km/hr ~2300rpm. On sonata, 120km/hr needs 2500rpm.. sad.gif ..Anyway, irregardless the higher than Civic 1.8 rpm, I luv the car due to cool design & superior comfort level that Civic can't do haha

very low rpm even reach 110km/h. my fren's car 1.6 engine (honda) using 2.0 manual gearbox (dono from what model) oso 120km/h @ 2800rpm, very save fuel for highway driving.

I already posted the highway drive earlier ..almost 100% highway at 110km/hr-120km/hr (80%=120km/hr) getting 7.7ltr/100km or 13km/ltr

On 100% city + jam, I'm currently getting ~ 12-13 Ltr/100km or ~ 8.4km/ltr - 7.6km/ltr..well still new..haha..milleage not yet touch 1300km.. & not yet send for 1st 1000km service too!

How about this:.
Car type: Honda City IDSI 1.5 - Non Hybrid.  flex.gif

[attachmentid=5609836]

Subang - Bukit Mertajam (considered 95% highway and some travelling in Bukit Mertajam)

[attachmentid=5609956]

Refilled full tank at Nibong Tebal (less than half a tank remaining), then head back to KL , got stuck in a jam while heading back to Subang.
Photo shot while back in Subang.

Best FC I've seen is 18.x KM/L full highway but dropped to 17.x Km/l as soon as I hit the Bukit Mertajam roads.

Average speed on highway 105-110Km/H.

Canry hybrid is 2500cc car. Ability to go beyond even 15km/ltr already a big arxhievement when my older Sonata YF (2000cc) at the same RM100 on able to go as far as 460km smile.gif . Honda IDSI is able to do that too and if my camry hybrid running at 50% city & 50% city with stop & go traffic, owners have reported getting till 17-18km/ltr too.. smile.gif .. When my car still new and I drove below 110km/hr, I'm getting 17.5km/ltr actually.. now going at 120km-139km/hr smile.gif

Haha. Anyway getting the fuel saving on such a high cc car is a bonus to me actually bcos I hv monthly fuel allowances. I did not expect of getting >800km on a mere RM100 fuel.

Comparing this to my daughter;s Axia... full tank avg ~ RM47 or 24.1Ltr and max can run till ~ 330km or 13.7km/ltr..
