let's just say i miss those mco days

before this I also believe, rush hour traffic jam stop and go crawling it's what destroy the fuel consumption,
but after 2 months of mco with me still going to work using the same route with 0 traffic, end up using more fuel

so I don't know what to believe now
*
I jam save more fuel lol

Doesn't look so bad for a car that people always call as a gas guzzler kuat telan minyak.

Suprise to know inspira had high fc.
*
It's FC especially manual, is greatly dependant on the driver's right foot.

Better than my ex proton persona elegance 1.6AT.
*
yeah despite the extra 200cc, better engine refinements, dual VVT intake exhaust, tighter tolerance calling for thinner viscosity oils all help being more efficient than older CamPro.

can using thinner oil than recommended cause engine be less efficient?

this time i change myself to 10w40, there seems to be a bit of increase in FC.
*
not really. thinner oils, with everything else equal, means less parasitic loss through quicker fluid motion
so first question = no.
what you may risk, is less protection, which you probably already know, in modern engine oils, assuming reputable brands, that is no longer an issue.

2nd question: you need to properly monitor like fuelly to eliminate placebo.
there's also factors such as a w50 oil quality vs a w40 oil quality.
exaggerated example: a mineral w40 vs a fully synthetic w50, the w50 usually will perform better.
again, refer back first answer > thinner oils will always be more efficient. if that is the other way around for you, look at other causes/variables.

Short answer is yes. Best to follow recommended eo by manufacturer. Same goes to most Honda model nowadays, it were recommended to use 0w20. But most owner after warranty ended, switch to 5w40. Increase fc
*
increase fc = worse fc = more fuel consumption? then correct.
and the short answer should be "no" instead.

Could heavier wheels cause higher fuel consumption? Recently replaced the taiwan sport rim to stock proton sport rim. The stock sport rim is dang heavy.
*
most definitely. that's why don't simply upsize.
even more so as unsprung weight affects overall car dynamics (including FC) a lot more than weight after spring.

stock wheels take durability into consideration, so they tend to be heavier, however imagine a sport rim breaking from pot hole, whatever savings may be wiped out from the need to repair or replace it.
