By the way.. I forget to say, it only started to get good after 25K mileage.. Before this, I only getting 380KM on 32 litre average.

And if you checked through user review, Hybrid can get 26KM/L... So mine is still not as good as that... While i-DSI average on 23KM/L.

My new City 2009 is not so good though... only 11KM/L average, mileage just 9k.

Why is my fuel consumption so high?

Highway at least 100-110km/h
Traffic jam also not accelerate fast, sometimes heavy footed only..

what car below 150k has the best FC?

Is it true? Your altis is 1.8 or 1.6?  I'm driving altis too, but I just manage to get around 500km/RM80 only, but my average speed was 120KM/H due to my daily journey is more thn 120KM... If 100% on highway, I can managed to get 600KM/RM80... ^.^ My altis is 1.6 only by the way..

My 8year old 1.8 Altis:
7L/100km - 90/10 city/highway

Wifey 4mth old 1.5swift
8.1L/100km - same 90/10

I prefer the Altis more for obvious reason 

Btw how most of you measure your FC?
I always measure full tank to full tank divided by odometer reading used in between which is the more accurate way.
Using this method, the latest measurement for my car (Tyt Mark X 2.5ltr) can only get 10.4km/ltr (274.4km/26.5ltr) with smooth driving and not much jam with 80% highway where most of the time cruising around 100-130kph (only few times reach 140-150kph).

Then the same like how I measure. But most of the time I measure after using up 90% of the tank (around 55ltrs) and the fuel light starts blinking. Only last weekend I tried a quick measurement after using only 26ltr since I want to avoid including the jams.

Nah, I don't think can get that good. I've been measuring for a few months now and can never break the 10.5km/ltr mark but again always got a period stuck in jams and never really patience enough to drive only at 80-90kph. I think it'll be lucky if can break into 11-12km/ltr and probably can only reach on highways with 80-90kph and very smooth on the gas without anybody else in the car, but I doubt can get more than 12. The factory spec sheet claims around 12.5km/ltr.
Btw my measurement above was achieved with about 70% of the journey carrying 4 people on board (including me).

Works wonders with my Myvi Now my friends are also getting used to my slow and steady style - they used to keep screwing me for driving like an ah ma on the highway lol.. If they pay my minyak no prablem kot.. haha

The other day I broke my FC record at 23.4km/l at 75kph 

However, sekali pandu in the city or blast - it goes down to 15-17km/l.
