Have been monitoring my car's FC for the past 8 tankfuls. Stats averaged out as to below:
1) Model: City i-DSI 2006 2) Petrol Used: Mobil/Esso Synergy F1 3) Engine Oil Used: Honda brand, unchanged since car rolled out 4) Fuel Consumption: 13km/l (calculated, the onboard meter was inaccurate) 5) Driving Condition: 70% City + 30% Highway 6) Average Speed : <80km/h for city, 90-110km/h for highway 7) Average RPM: 2K 8) Latest mileage : ~4,000K 9) Modification : 185/55/R15 GY NCT5 to 195/55/R15 Continental CC1 10) Air-cond usage : 100%
A tankful costs on average RM68, goes for 450km+. Have switched to Caltex Techron and will monitor for another 8 tankfuls.

QUOTE(blackblackheart @ May 15 2008, 10:14 PM) Erm, based on all of the FCs i've seen in this thread, my car seems to be problematic. Here it goes. Car type : Iswara 1.5 (A) 2003 Driving Condition : City 100% a.KMs : 110 KM b.RM : 30.00 c.Ratio : RM 0.27/km d. : 7.26km/litre Even if my floor d gas pedal too much i'm sure the FC won't be that high right? I think smth is wrong with my car but i can't figure out wats d prob. I had an Iswara 1.3 (M) 2000. It takes RM65 of fuel for 350km (@_@)

Better provide info using km/liter or liter/100km, it's more standardised and can be used worldwide. Fuel price is different everywhere and even our own price fluctuates, so using RM/liter and RM/full tank is not suitable.

Why are some of you guys still reporting RM per pump and sen/km? People reading this 2 months later won't even know what fuel price it is. And are you using RON92, RON97, the expensive Shell one (forgot name) or what? All this are making the reports even more inaccurate than they already are.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Nov 3 2011, 08:49 AM) Only solution: Sell car. You should buy a VIVA in the first place if you so concerned about FC! Actually even someone who is not concerned with FC will be concerned after seeing the Cherolet's ridiculous FC I agree: sell the car. Since it's bought 2nd-hand, there should be minimal loss.
