My SMART Forfour 1.5L first pump after fuel increased is RM104 for 38.5L and I have covered 630km so I was like 16+km/l for the last 2 weeks.

But in the morning or evening to/back from office, I can get 20km/l.

Once get caught in traffic, and lots of parking mall parking hunting, lunch outing, it average at 16-17km/l.

USJ to Kelana Jaya in morning, KL traffic during 10-6 and kelana jaya to usj in evening. mostly stop/start with very heavy foot. XD

Using Wira 1.5 (M) yr 2002.

FC for full tank (i think about 40liter) RM80 can go up to 530-550km (price was RM1.92)

Now since price went up to RM2.70, for RM100 fuel can drive 470-490km (now i dont wait till empty tank to fill in fuel, but i keep track of FC by mileage record everytime fill in fuel)

2007 BMW 325i (E90)

Full tank 63 litres (RM170 @RM2.70/litre) but I normally fill up when it gets low, around RM140.

100% city drive in KL
FC: 7.2km/l, (full tank = 454km); average speed 30km/h
Cost per km (at RM2.70/l) = RM0.38

100% highway (KL to Simpang Pulai) - without cruise control
FC: 12.0km/l, (full tank = 756km); average speed 100km/h (driving between 90km/h-120km/h, depending on traffic conditions)
Cost per km (at RM2.70/l) = RM0.23

Mixed highway/trunk road/hilly areas (KL-Simpang Pulai-Tanah Rata-Gua Musang-Kuala Lipis-Bentong-KL)
- highway 90-120km/h, trunk roads 70-100km/h, hilly areas 30-70km/h
- FC would probably have been better if I avoided the temptation to be heavy-footed when overtaking lorries/slow cars going uphill or on trunk roads, but then I couldn't resist the temptation! biggrin.gif
FC: 10.8km/l, (full tank = 680km); average speed 64.6km/h
Cost per km (at RM2.70/l) = RM0.25

Based on old data I had from using 1996 BMW 318i (E36), and comparing it with the E90 325i:

100% city drive:
E36 318i had better FC, around 8.5-9.0km/l

100% highway drive:
FC for both cars about the same.

hehe..i wouldn't call it city drive, live in klang n work in damansara, mostly drive thru federal highway, so should it be considered 60% highway 40% city?? biggrin.gif but then again federal highway also jams most of the time and damansara of course not jam but many cars all the time... blush.gif
