Where did you bought your 360?

From mid valley. Got the asian version. About 1600 with 2 games (Quake 4 and PDZ).

Btw, I'm adding you guys to my list and I don't have the gold membership so I can't reply to messages sent. Sorry. Don't know how to get the gold memebrship. No credit card too.

It was the system where you get everything in it (Don't know whether its called core or premium) Dont have to order, there was one already set up at the shop and he sold it to me. In fact there are some parts in KL you can get the asian version for RM1450. As for the games, imbi mario has them for RM155-RM175.

Agreed she always seems to act like she knows and cares about stuff but she honestly doesn't and she just wants your money. Oh well I just want the games. (Small sacrifice).

Malaysians really need to learn how to treat customers and give deals. Everywhere I go business owners do not value customer loyalty. I've been abroad a long time and one things for sure is that foreigners appreciate customer loyalty. If you go to them to get your things, they will reward you. But not here, never here, its sad.

Where got. I always have good price from Uncle Gan of Sg. Wang apa. Everytime beli game mesti situ juga pergi. I get N3 Limited Edition for RM 100 only.

Bro Djin is the best la. He also gave me discount apa. So it is actually quite untrue la to say that sellerr or resellers or whatever yg jual2 tak pikir about customer loyalty. The thing is, the customer must be smart too!!

Then you guys are really lucky. No offence but I have been an avid gamer since i was 10 and now I'm 25. I remember the times of cutting school and running to asiajaya to copy the newest games to reused disks. Even since then I personally have never got good deals. Maybe its just my luck...sigh oh well...I just have to suck it in for love of the game.

Was tempted to get one today... endured a 30min sale talk from Connie at Mario and decided to ask you guys some stuff before plunging in my hard earned cash.

Can you guys share the Top 3 games to get with the XBox360?

Is the 'fan' thingy really necessary? I hear the machine gets overheated easily.

1 or 2 controllers? With that battery charger thingy or without?

Any other tips before buying an XBox360?

For top 3 games, I'll choose:

1 . Dead or Alive 4
2 . Ninety-Nine Nights / Kameo
3 . Project Gotham Raching 3 / Ridge Racer 6

Hoho the 360 has become affordable these days, thinking about getting one to play GTA IV.

Top 3 games:

1) Dead or Alive 4
2) Ninety Nine Nights
3) Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter

Fan isn't really necessary if you make sure your 360 is well-ventilated. Just leave some space behind the 360, and make sure your room isn't too hot.

controllers, depends if you have friends/family/spouse/whatever who comes along to play. If you don't, then 1 is enough as Xbox Live is quite enough for your multiplayer needs.

Battery charger is a good long term investment. 4 Energizer AAs will last 1 month, so you're paying RM10 per month for batteries. I think the play and charge kit is about RM100 or so lah....not sure about the quick charge kit.

How much ms. connie offered u? (Jap or Asian)

4 Energizer AA will last 1 month? That's only true if you play around 1 - 2 hours a day. Play and charge kit is only USD 19.99, shouldn't cost more than RM 100 here.

360? Not yet. If everything goes well, I'll have enough money to buy Xbox 360 by next week. I've got a feeling that maybe my money will get delayed to late August or early September. Hope that never happen.

No offence, but how do you know if you don't have a 360? I've regularly played games and 2AAs usually last around 2 weeks. Others have also said the same thing, maybe if you're using chaplak brand batteries, it won't last even a week (ask Dreamyghost about his experience before he got the PNC )

The play n charge kit batteries, yes they don't usually last 2 weeks. So far on average I have to charge every week. It seems that the Energizers can last longer than the PNC, but of course the PNC is rechargeable

2.) buy battery charger is cheaper. should be around rm50 for ni-mh type.

I've read about it somewhere. They said that a pair of Alkaline batteries will last up to 30 hours, so 2 pairs wil llast up to 60 hours.

60 hours / 30 days a month = 2 hours a day.

It's just what I read from other people's exprience. I guess I'll know more when I have my 360.

batteries can get eaten pretty fast if u use the headset a lot and also if the game u play rumbles a lot etc. etc.

ya chaplak rechargeable batteries like brand Hyudai only last 3days minimun 2days but still very useful for emergency when playing DOA online with darkchaser

after got my play n charge kit by winnin the PGR3 tournament (very thankful bro zaakath for sponsoring the PNC) the PNC only last about 3-4days but recharge times only 8hours will be fully loaded

That thing is called Play & Charge kit. Price is USD 19.99. You can charge your battery while playing games. It'll take around 8 hours to fully charge a battery, and each charge will last you up to 30 hours of gameplay.

hmm... sounds like one of those 'must buy' accessories... I'm still contemplating on buyin the XBox360... either this or the NDS Lite.
Nothing seems to attract my attention except Chromehound and EMchant... been dying to play some Jap RPGs but my bro's PS2 is with his friends. *sigh*

Err... contemplating between buying a DS lite or a 360... aren't those 2 completely different things?

top 3 games that i enjoy playing:

1. Dead or Alive 4 (i always play this)
2. Call of Duty 2 (the campaign was good, but rarely mp on live, busy lately)
3. Project Gotham Racing 3 (just start playing again recently, bought the style pack)

wireless is a must! go for an extra controller to play with ur frens. me n my frens hv our little DOA4 league, usually after dinner or before yum cha, great fun! 2 controllers is enough imho, not many games can go 4 players atm (4-way fps on my composite 29" is an eyestrain, lol). maybe can get the wired one for 3&4, it plugs into ur windows pc too.

if u already have rechargeable AAs and the charger, can give the plug/charge or quick charge kit a pass. i hv 2 pairs for each controller, each pair lasts almost a week (2-3hrs a day, 4-5 days a week).

yea... different in a sense but to me, it's still console gaming.

its just boils down to which games you want to play more... if there are more Ds games you wanna play...get the Ds....if there are more 360 games that you wanna play getthe 360...
