Hi my car less than five year old. Can't start the engine after stopping it and while it's hot. This is the second time it happened. Meant to bring to service centre but always busy on Saturdays. Have you encountered this before? Even if it's not the same brand car? What could possibly be the cause?
This is a very common problem for Honda City 2009 onwards. The first few batches of City had their starter motor replaced with Denso & Honda added a few thicker grounding cables to the engine bay. What I heard now is that All Honda SC is instructed to use only Panasonic car batteries as previously they are using Century batteries.. The reason is because Panasonic batteries has higher CCA (Cold Crank Amp) which can make the car start easier.I had my starter motor replaced for free, added thicker grounding cables for free and recently replaced the car battery to Panasonic as the old one is about 2 years plus...
Never encountered the starting issue when engine is hot ever again.
