Is this open world RPG like Skyrim ??

Not sure Dark Souls expanded their map and dungeon or not.
In DS1, the world is not as open and big as Skyrim, but the game won't restrict you much from going anywhere.

Also take note that DS is quite different from Skyrim in term of RPG elements.
Dark Souls don't have quests log/marker, only few NPCs, and provide limited explanation and guidance on storyline.
And the biggest difference, difficulty. tongue.gif

It is a masterpiece but not for everyone.
Many peoples got the game due to reviews/recommendation, then sells/stop playing shortly afterwards, not even finish first dungeon/boss.
Better to try DS1 first if you are new to this series.

DS2 has a smoother learning curve than DS1, so maybe can just skip and go straight to DS2 laugh.gif

nope its not. its just that the world is huge and you can pick which boss to kill first. story is somewhat linear.
be warned, this game is shitload hard. even harder than ds1. drool.gif

Meaning the game is a hack and slash.

I prefer game like open world adventure .. Elder scroll and Fallout type. Currently playing Two World 2.

i don't think they're giving out the keys yet. usually they will send keys 1 week before the game is released for preload.

Watched some of the gameplay video on Youtube.

The game seems to be very badly coded in general with problems like arrows that homes on you and curve around bends towards you, attacks that damages you even when the animation clearly shows that it misses, and attack hitbox that is larger than it actually looks.

Going to wait and see what the PC version is like.

Is it true that DS2 is harder than DS 1? I completed DS 1 previously. That game is seriously adrenaline rush. Lol.

Anyone figured out where to buy non-region locked versions? I went and ask Steam about the extent of region locking and the jokers want me to send them my passport. So 'smart' lah them.

Purchases made in Malaysia can only be added to your library if you are in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

Does that mean I can play it outside of these countries? Their wording rather vague and +-RM 200 is a big deal for me so I'm kinda hesitant to buy.
