Hi.. Just to ask if anyone here uses LC V4/5? with matte black color scheme? I bought myself some new cover set to replace my old and aging LC135 v2 set.. Now that the set has arrived, since the set does not came with 2k clear what clear type you guys have used? Coz for that set, there are 2 color matte black and normal shiny black.. So now am wondering which type of clear best suited for this, normal or matte clear since I really dont want to screw up my new parts.. Thanks in advance
timing chain, engine head need to check. May ask why you want to add 2k on top of the existing color? It's ready use. For matte set, it's fine to use as is, right?
Anyhow, if you want to add extra 2K clear, make sure to use 2-part paint as that will resist petrol and solvents better. Clear is fine as it will be glossy on top, but the paint underneath remains matte.
Well I plan to add 2k clear to basically seal the stripe on it and also increase its longevity so it will stay looking good through years.. The only prob I have is that the set is not fully matte color as there are parts of it that is not matte. You can look at its picture here as it look exactly like this

So as for ppl who did use this set and for ppl who know about paints, kindly suggest me on what type of clear I can use on this without making it look weird..
Btw, anyone selling their unused LC135 5S rim set? Am thinking of converting rear brake to disc, and I dun really want to spend rm400 for a new rim since I might repaint those to my taste anyway, hence prefer used in good quality one..
Hi guys, any pomen or LC v1 expert here?I am currently restoring my friend's bike.. Yamaha LC v1.. The bike now runs, but there is a small leak from this thing here.. Since LC v1 carb are different from my own later version, I got no idea how to fix this or even if it fixable in first place as I can't find any way to dissemble it..

I am really looking forward to fix this rather than having to buy a new carburetor since LC v1 carb are expensive nowadays, which will hurt my friend's budget in restoring his old bike.. Thanks
That is the accelerator pump, to give more petrol when pulas throttle. Can you try remove the rubber boot, and see if there is any clip underneath it? Service manual says to replace the whole bowl...
Or, just remove the pump arm so not to use it, and see if the bike rides normally. Then, find a way to seal the leaking pump shaft.
Yeah I noticed that too.. The pump only works when throttle on 75-100%.. Already remove the rubber boot, only have the shaft.. Well if only I can just buy the lower bowl it should be okay, but where to look since most sparepart only sell 1 whole carb, if there is any stock on original... The thing is it leaks even unused, so yeah might need to plug the hole..
