112 is to connect to emergency numbers..it supposed to be able to dial even when ur phone out of coverage as it is the emergency number..
if u dont wanna use the #3370#, u cld also use the #4720#..but not sure if can use on newer phones...
theres this other code..heard of it a long time ago but i have no idea what it does
*#746025625#
if done correctly, it will display sim clock stopped allowed..or something to that effect
oh only for nokia btw..it seems that nokia has a lot of codes..
I'm not sure whether has anyone tried to correct you or not, my apologies if someone did it already.if u dont wanna use the #3370#, u cld also use the #4720#..but not sure if can use on newer phones...

112 will connect you to emergency center.
112 doesn't require credit. (For prepaid)
When you don't have coverage, 112 will try to connect to other available coverage. If all fails, dialing 112 will not work.
Even if your sim is barred, you still can dail 112.
Some phone doesn't require sim card to dail 112.
Hope this OOT helps
