with 2 years of CCRIS record, they will not verify anything OR if you have tones of assests (which i believe they can check) , will approve without any questions doubt.
That's from what i have experienced so far with 4 banks.

My banker told me GST can be waived if you spend more than 60k per annum. anyway, we don't have worries on GST after April . We just have to worry for annual fee which can be waived easily
*
Not Necessary U Need 2 Year CCRIS... rolleyes.gif
FYI, Back to 2011 Citibank Approved Me their CC with just 6 months Credit History as I Got only brows.gif
But I do got a Very long Employment History (Worked in Same Company) for 10+ Years whistling.gif

back on 2011, its so easy to get credit cards / loans and most banks would approve without any questions needed.

back to 2015, which is 4 years later everything have changed. BNM rules has changed too and loans/ credit cards are harder to get. how can you compare 4 years ago and 4 years later?  rclxub.gif

please compare apple to apple =)

The bold part is "comparing".

Comparing to now, even if you have one year CCRIS, banks also not necessary approve you as you can see members here got rejected recently. It depends on many criteria and SOP policies of different banks.

Revised with an Update Version...

Citibank Cash Back/ Platinum Card Annual Fee - RM120/ $195 (Income Requirement RM36k / $60k p.a)

* 5% X for Petrol Cash Rebate [capped at RM300 / RM600, with Max.$15 / $30 monthly Cash Back]

* 2% X Cash Rebate for Major Mobile service providers (Maxis, Digi & Celcom)
[Unlimited Monthly Rebates with t&c On, MUST Pay the Bill thru Citibank Online ONLY in-order to get Cash-back]

* 2% X Cash Rebate on Groceries [capped at RM1500 / RM3,000, with Max. $30 / $60 monthly Cash Back]

* 2% X Cash Rebate for Pharmacies [No Capping]

* 0.3 X Others Spending Cash Rebate [No Capping]

Note: Cash Back Platinum in BLUE

Citibank CB Only credit the cash back earned once you reach $50 & If Cash Back < RM50 for a particular month, the total cash rebate amount will be carried forward to the following month... rolleyes.gif

ie,
Your 01/2015 Spending with Cash Back:
Petrol: RM600 X 5% = $30 CB
Groceries: RM500 X 2% = $10
Phone Bills: RM250 X 2% = $5
Pharmacies: RM250 X 2% = $5
Other Spending: RM500 X 0.3% = $1.50

Total Cash Back for January 2015: (RM)30 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 1.5 = $51.50 CB Credited into Your Next Month Statement

thumbup.gif  thank you bro very clear example rclxms.gif  appreciated.....look like citi cash back is better than UOB One card if only for the petrol
*
OT a Bit, in case You're Interested... whistling.gif
Actual Citibank & UOB CC technically both with SIMILAR Cash Back Mechanism nod.gif

UOB One / Platinum Card - a Pure Cash Card (Annual Fee: RM68-168)
(Income Requirement: RM24-60K p.a)

Earn $$$ WITH:

I) Cash Rebate for petrol (Weekdays 2% / Weekends 5%)
- Capped at RM500 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM300 for UOB ONE Classic card per month

II) Cash Rebate for Golden Screen Cinemas (“GSC”) ticket counters for purchase of movie tickets (Weekdays 2% / Weekends 5%)

III) Cash Rebate for Goceries: AEON Big, Tesco, Cold Storage, Jaya Grocer and Giant (Weekdays 1% / Weekends 2%)
- Capped at RM1,500 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM1,000 for UOB ONE Classic card per month

IV) Cash Rebate for major mobile service providers (Maxis, Digi and Celcom) (Weekdays 1% / Weekends 2%)
- Capped at RM300 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM200 for UOB ONE Classic card per month

V) 0.2% Cash Rebate on all other spending
+ Usually They Given 2 Years Annual Fee Waiver to NEW Signup

BUT...
i) Citibank Cash Back is Only Credited based on $50 Basis (i.e. under $50 Nothing will be Credited), Whereas UOB Credit the Cash Back Monthly into the Account... Me Prefer UOB more than Citibank on THIS thumbup.gif

ii) Another Cons of Citi CB Plat... as the Phone Bills Rebates ONLY Available with Payments Made through Citibank Online & One Bill Payment... Whereas You can Enjoy Phone Bills Cash Back with UOB Card with any Payment Channel ie: at Online Portal or Pay Over the Counter... (Preference on UOB)

+ U Will Get 2 or 5% + Another 2% Smart $ Cash Rebate at BPH Petrol with UOB One Card as for the Citi CB Plat. Just Plain 5% Off for All Petrol Station & Also Don't Forget 2 / 5%Off on GSC Tickets with UOB One Card...(Preference on UOB)

Hi Guys, I got a question to ask

Currently, I got 2 Citibank card (1 Visa Shell, 1 Master Clearcard)
My monthly statement date is fall on 13th, and due date is either 2nd/3rd of each month.

I just check my January statement and saw I have to pay RM 500 for Shell Visa and RM 1k for Clear Mastercard
When I look into details, I actually saw there is RM 280 imposed as annual fee(RM 190 for shell, 90 for Clearcard)

I feel like canceling my shell card as i rarely use it while the annual fee is so exp..
So now, if I call the card center and cancel my shell card.. what should I do

A. Pay RM 310 (500 - 190 annunal fee) and call card center
B. Pay RM 500 and call card center
C. Not paying any and call card center (how bout the balance if I want to cut it straight?)
*
Maybe...
D. Call CS Request an Annual Fee Waiver from Them Usually They asked You Pay the Annual Fee 1st later Credit Back to Your Account on the Next statement. Even though You want to Cancel your Cards...MUST Settle ALL the Outstanding Balance before They Allow You to Cut the Card whistling.gif

Actually what's the real monthly cash back for petrol expenses?

According to https://www.citibank.com.my/english/credit-...CCACBENCCHMCALM , the max cash back for platinum cards on petrol is RM30, but the slider allows us to adjust to RM1200 spending per month, which is RM720/year cash back @ RM60/month cash back.

Is the glitch is at the slider (max per month of RM600?) or at the cash back information (RM60 cash back instead of RM30?
*
The correct one, max spend on petrol Rm600 with Rm 30 only pumb $700 also get $30 CB Max that all....

When i login to my Citibank account. I notice there are 2 credit "limits"

1st - Credit Limit Amount <-- which is my credit card limit

2nd - Cash Limit <-- anyone can confirm what this limit refer to?

What make me disappointed is  the CS and he seem to be inpatient to talk to me and hangup the call. I only manage talk to him for 2-3 minutes only.
*
Yup... nod.gif
I also got 2 Different Credit Limits on My 2 Citibank CC:

i) Credit Limit no.1 refer as (X) = is Your REAL Spending Limit Your MAX. CL can USED UP (for Retail spend)

ii) Cash Limit no. 2 refer as (Y) = A Separate CL given to Cardholder can ONLY used for doing BT, Cash Advances, EZ Pay, Dial for Cash or Flexi- Payment Plan or any Installment Plan WITHOUT Touching the CL of Your (X) Spending Limit.

* Usually Cash Limit (Y) given to the Cardholder who Previously having Cash Installment plan with Citibank before....

BUT YOUR TOTAL CREDIT LIMIT (X+Y): That's the Figures which shown at Your CCRIS, also... nod.gif

ie,
As for MY Case :
i) Rewards Platinum CC with Spending Credit Limit (X) = RM50.5K + Cash Limit (Y) RM20K
As they just Added in a Spared Cash Limit (Y) to the Card After I have Finish My RM20K Installment Plan with THIS Card, in case I want to do Cash Installment, again... sweat.gif

ii) Cash Back Platinum CC ONLY got a Shared Spending CL (X) with Rewards Plat., but with NO Cash Limit (Y) because NEVER USE the Card on any Cash Plan Before... rolleyes.gif

So as the Total amount CL will be RM70.5K from Citibank as It Shown in MY CRISS... whistling.gif

BTW, they just Offered me a RM8,000 Cash Installment on 0% Cash Advance Fees but I Prefer go on HSBC with 4.88% p.a, with 0% Fee Charged... brows.gif
