QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 10 2015, 02:32 PM) Why does you say that... that is of course for my personal experience only. Most Citibank cashback mechanism need to "accumulate" cash rebate until a certain minimum threshold before they credit back to your account. I don't think it's efficient from customer point-of-view |

QUOTE(PeesLife @ May 17 2015, 11:18 AM) Today is day 3 of my holding this citibank card, and i've already had such impression on them. Ironic? Not a bit. This just shows how fast citibank establish their bad reputation towards new customer. just swipe with different cards lo most of the merchant allow The only reason i applied for citibank is for the free promotional offer item (and to swipe a hobby item without being discovered from my nagging wife) or u might borrow from me and pay me cash on the spot |

QUOTE(PeesLife @ May 17 2015, 09:11 PM) 1. Yes, the requirement i placed to them is very simple, minimum 3 months of monthly epf'able income. If that cannot be met - just consider my application void. However i have received a few calls saying "oh yes yes yes that's very easy, why not apply our infinity card also, will push your limit even higher" Up until when i got the letter and look at the laughable credit limit. did you asked them why you got such a low limit even u submit ur documents? ?2. Called their CS, and after a few questions regarding overlimit, card intrest, annual fees etc - the customer service HANG UP my call. 3. This is just day 4 of holding a citibank account, yet i already received 2-3 calls on so called "promotional" offers from citibank. Do you know it's annoying? Point 1, they outfront LIED. Point 2, incompetent CS. CS is your company's image, yet you hire someone who knows nothing, cannot even converse in a formal sentence. I even got answers like "You will know when you will know lah", "When system pass, then pass lah, how i know?" Point 3, terrible product pusher, inconvenience to my daily life. I'm picking up a call, thinking it's something related to my personal life or business, and ends up a waste of fking time telemarketers. Point 4, almost all of my friends don't have a Citibank account, reason is because they also heard of bad reputation amongst their own friends, and they told me more bad things about Citibank after i tell them what's happening the past week, and hey, they've just heard an additional bad remark about citibank from myself! There's a reason why so many people are saying bad things about Citibank, and now i know it firsthand. Cancelling my card after getting their free promo item (maybe that's fake advertising from Citibank?). It will worth much less effort to cancel all accounts and stop dwelling on this irrelevant bank. What's done is done, and lesson learned. i have few hundred k CL even i didn't submit any documents to them ... the telemarketing officers call me and approved me just-like-that |

QUOTE(broken8902 @ May 27 2015, 04:47 PM) I've no issue clearing the balance. Usually we as the credit card holders will use cancellation as a leverage to seek for the waiver, hence I asked to be transferred to the cancellation department as they would have the authority for such waiver. I just want to get the waiver done ASAP. Holding me off by asking me to clear the balance first before they can actually transfer me to someone with the authority to waive my annual membership fees is a hassle, I would need to wait for another working day for them to record the payment. I always did call him 3 times at least to get a confirmation answer.I've called in yesterday around 5.50pm, that customer service officer understand my situation and directly patch me through but unfortunately they don't work 24 hours. Hence, they arranged for a callback within two working days. I wouldn't want to wait and called in again today and encounter the "no waiver" customer service officer. Anyways, I trust in Citibank and I've called in again just now. The customer service officer said he need to transfer me to another colleague for the waiver. I was patched through and the officer did the waiver for me, no hassle. Sometimes you just need to call in again to get someone helpful. |
